I wonder how many parents know how to differentiate their baby cries? And how you manage to do that?

This is not something you learn. It is a mothers special gift. Mothers just know when their baby's crying means it's cold or hungry or wet. Mothers can even tell when their babies are crying just to keep themselves awake. The scariest cry though is the cry of pain or terror. It will cut through the heart.

savak03, thanks for your response! I heard that there is a dvd or books that guide the parents how to differentiate the baby cries, I wonder how many rely on it to figure it out. For my case, just like you said, my wife is able to differentiate the baby cries by herself. Yes, I am totally agree with that the scariest cry is the cry of pain or terror. My baby cries like crazy every time after taking injection. We try everything to sooth and comfort him. Am really feel heartache when seeing him cry like that.

Well I only have one child a little boy bout 2yrs old. I can definitely pick him out of a crowd of crying kids. I don't have to even be near the room that he is crying in to know that it is him. There is just something that a woman has that allows this to happen. It's intuition It's almost like animals you see while watching the discovery channel. Each one has a specific smell or cry that allows the mother to know that it is their child. Children are awesome and believe it or not the ability to differentiate between a wet diaper cry and a mom I'm hungry cry is alot easier when you've bonded with the child.
