I'm a employee of IT company. One day, when we are working, the eletric system stop working suddenly.
cause we all think it may work again soon, nobody moved.
after a few minutes,sb told us this situation may last at least two hours.
That's really a funny scene:some people wait about.some people walked wearily.some people ask eachother"what should we do" and so on.all of us drop into a state of utter stupefaction.
so how about you?if there was no computer and internet?

I think young generation is spending lot of time in front of computer and internet. If this media is not there, then there will be lot of free time to do other activities like indoor or outdoor games.

We can't imagine the world without the world with our the computer and internet. Now a days all things are going with the help of computer and internet only. Every industry and shops, houses all having computers for bills and some other purposes. When there was no computer then all the calculation and bills and the records are only maintained by the man only, but now all are doing by computer. Internet banking, money transfer all are based on internet only. All transetions are based on internet only With out internet we can't do all these.

nowadays, everything is based on computers and internet. the financies, the company communications and everything! So, I just can't imagine the disappearance of internet and computers from our life after this point. We are becoming more and more depended to them. This is not a simple addiction but a very serious dependence.
Especially, if you are working in the IT department, then your job is not only depended on computers and internet, but your job is exactly them. If the electricity goes down, then you are also down. As a person who is studying on information technologies myself, I can imagine your situation.

i have often wondered what would happen if there was no net, or pcs.
when i was working for a courier company in scotland we had a power outage that lasted almost a whole day, which really slowed down the rate at which we could process the parcels an get them out for delivery, usually we processed around 300 parcels an hour, without the computers and scanners it was around 100 an hour, but besause majotity of the staff didnt know where parcels went and relied on the scanner units to tell them it ended up a huge mess and after about 4 hours the boss told us to just wait till it power sorted and we all ended up playing football on the forecourt, even the boss.
i suppose it just goes to show how much work really is based on IT and how much slower we are without it
