How about you? A Good Discussion Starter or a Better Responder?

I'm usually a better responder. I'm simply not creative enough to start popular discussions. Plus, others tend to steel all the good subjects! When I do feel like I've found a great topic, no one replies. I admit defeat! Comments are more my area of... expertise..? I'll stick to that field while occasionally making new discussions (that receive anywhere between two-eight replies ). See you around. ^_^

Hi raghul, for a user likes me who has been participating the activities here for almost three years, but the number of discussions I have started is still less than ninety, so obviously I’m not a good discussion creator lol. You are right and I know you are serious as well, really I’m not intelligent enough and lack of certain knowledge to answer some of your discussions which need intelligence and specific requirement. I agree that discussions that cover every aspects of topic could arouse users of different interest to respond the one they like. I have to take care of my new discussion by reading all the responses carefully and try my best to leave comments on them. This actually consumes lots of time. I always feel at ease after I have finished all the comments. It is so relaxing just to respond to others’ discussions and don’t have to worry much about writing comments. posting and Merry Christmas!

I really think i'm some what good at both and some times things really go awry where i would post a discussion that would really be bad but i would like to give everything in my mind even if its good or bad and i think that makes me going through and i love the way it is being done and i also reply alittle well and think thats really suitable for me..happy mylotting...

Hi Raghu, It is good to know that you are learning from your experience and making necessary corrections. If you can post an attractive subject line that means you wins half. Take time for observing and learning. For me, I am also not a good starter, sometimes running out of ideas and sometimes lazy to explore it so and so.., so it is easy to respond other's discussions (lol) but sometimes I am lazy to respond also Have a great time in mylot. I think i am the latter . I am not too good at finding topics that generate enough interest and so there are very few responses and some have no response at all. So i feel that i am better at responding to discussions than starting discussions.I too have tried starting different kinds of discussions and find that i am not getting the number of responses that i expect. The so called friends (Except a couple of them)never respond, this inspite of me trying to respond to most of their discussions - but that aside i feel it is best to stick to answering discussions as of now

as a new user, I need to be familiar with mylot. so i will respond the discussions i'm interested first,and then start my own discussion...

Due to work and other commitments I have not started any discussions for a long time. So all of my activity is responding to discussions or making counter comments to those of my responses which get a comment from other members and the topic starter. Basically I cannot always be sure that I will be able to log into myLot every day or even every week if life gets hectic with work and our small farmlet. That also means I cannot be sure that I would be able to read and comment on any of the responses the discussion receives so for that reason I have been reluctant to start any at all. A couple of times I have been tempted to start a discussion and see what happens or at least think I could do that when I know I can be online for a few consecutive days , but then I find that one of my friends has started a discussion on the very same topic. There is a message for me in that I am sure. lol Actually I am not sure whether or not we make more money from responding or starting discussions OR even if in fact there is any difference at all. However whether we respond or start discussions or do a combination of both, I am quite sure that it all balance out in the long run no matter which we choose to do. Also we need to make a quality response or discussion whichever we choose and also starting a discussion means we need to check back and comment on the responses. If we are doing that, then we cannot be responding to other discussions. So, for me, for now I am better at responding but who knows what the future might bring.

Well i Dont, Think i am good in Even one of Them Either. As i Have Never got any good Response in any of My Created topics. Nor I Think i have been Good Responder. As i Don,t have Much Best Repsonds.

I like to start a post every now and again however I find it easier for me just to respond to posts. I like to write back to people and help if I can with some advice. It can be interesting here when someone posts a question that I can give a quality response to. A lot of people here do better posting and some like myself would probably rather just respond.

Anyway, you're a good discussion starter through this piece of discussion. For me, it depends, sometimes i have a good idea to start one. but for most time, i am a better responder than a starter. Recently i just feel run out of ideas, so i respond more than start. plus, I love your avatar image.Happy mylotting.

Like you, or perhaps, like many of us, i am, too, bad at starting discussions. I think i do better in responsing discussions. Almost all of my discussions get about 1 or ZERO responses!! That's a real beating and pretty dishearting, haha.

hi friend, i am just a new user to mylot and i am giving my first response here. i cannot say that i am a good discussion starter or responder.because i just started my days here. but personally i believe that i am good in both responding and discussion starting. Happy lotting!

actually i would say i am a good discussion starter.. as i'm new to this mylot i have not started any discussions yet.. but starting a discussion is easy... but arguing or giving our suggestion is a bit harder if ur comments are going to be valued.. i can respond well if the topic of discussion is of my interest or a topic which is running over my mind.. so it always depends on the situation but mostly a better starter...

I personally believe in both. But, try to be a good discussion starter where I recieve public opinion about my thoughts and see if I need to improve them or I am better at that.

Am not quite sure where I belong. Based on my ratio, perhaps, I could start 3 discussions and two or three times of it would be the number of discussions which I responded. But, numbers of discussions that I started or responded isn't the basis if I am a good discussion starter or a best responder. It is based more on how our mind is set. Our mind can actually post discussions more than what we can respond on to. But when we see a discussion that instantly struck our interest, then, that is the time our mind is set to respond to said discussion and forgets the idea of posting a new discussion.That is how our brain works. It controls because it thinks. Whether you are a good discussion starter or a best responder does not really depend on you. Probably this respond complicates you, but that is how I see it.

I'm not good at starting discussions for the simplest reason that my mind goes blank when I think of starting a discussion. So, I respond to the topics that interest and do full justice to it.

im definitely not a good discussion starter .. i always dreamed of starting a discussion and one day i decided to start a discussion . i was thinking about which i could start a discussion. but im not as brilliant as most of the mylot users.. then only i realized that starting a discussion involves great brains and wisdom.. i think im a good responder (i guess ) ..

Probably I am neither. My discussions did not attracted reasonable responses and seemingly my responses are not that attractive. However I prefer to respond more than starting new discussion. I try to respond average about 10 discussions per day and a starting a new discussion now about 10 per months.

I am kind of new to mylot. I have started quite a few discussions, but responded to many more. I have never done blogging before. But, it seems when I read through the interests I have chosen, ideas seem to pop in my head for starting new discussions. So, my answer to your question is, I am not really sure yet. Good luck!
