Yes. I fell in my home and was not found until 3 or 4 days later, given 3 hours to live then when I did not die was told I would never walk again as I had broken my back in 3 places. That was 3 years ago and I proved the prognosis wrong. I walk just fine after 4 months of very hard physical rehabilitation.

My little dogs made such a non stop racket that finally neighbors called the police. I sure am a fighter I knew I was not going to spend the rest of my life in a nursing home in a wheelchair. Now I still go to the nursing home and tell my story to motivate others who have given up.

The first life threatening situation for me was when the restarant I worked at got robbed at gunpoint almost 8 years ago. I posted a similar discussion with the details. My second life threatening situation happened in November 2007 when I had to have surgery and an endoscopic procedure. The surgery went fine, but the endoscopic procedure did not. They gave me too much anestesia (or however you spell it) and called a medical emergency to my room and had to reverse the sedation. When I woke up there were nurses and doctors all over the room. That was scary...

Yes but ususally because I was being thrill seeking. Once I was at the outside of a book store and I was looking out at the parking lot. It was raining and lots of lightning. I saw a man and his friend get out of their car, they started walking toward the book store, and just then a bolt of lightning ( huge one) came straight down to the ground and hit a water puddle directly behind them. It was such a close call, must have been a foot away from them .. They kept walking like nothing happened so I assume they had no clue that the just almost got fried. My mouth hung down as I watched in awe. lol. That was crazy.

well its not like i was planning on catching soething like that. It just hit all of a sudden and it was in the middle of the city too. Definately not soemthing you'd expect to see. Lightning striking is a one in a million chance too. i was definately in awe.

was turning around on an old country road when the back wheels of my car went off the road I couldnr get it back on as it was my back wheel and no tracksion. If I had got out one side of the car I would have fell 1,000 feet. and I was sort of wondering going out the other side if the car would finish falling, well I finally got out and the car didnt fall but I had to walk about 5 miles back to townat midnight. Boy those old roads are dark!

yep, when i was kid i had some sort of heart failure and doctors said it is serious and they can't do anything about it. Most hospital actually refuse to accept me since they know i only have a few days to live, that's what they thought at that time. But the one hospital that did accept me, told my parents they really can't do anything but they will still keep trying. And so i was confined in the hospital, the next day. I was running around the hospital already as if I never even got sick. Did not believe in miracles before but i think a miracle just happens to me. Doctors and nurses was surprise and can't believe it. Since then, I never had the same sickness again.

I remember one time when I was a child me and my step sister was walking down the highway to her aunts house. A storm blew up and almost instantly it was raining so hard I couldn't see anything. The wind was blowing really hard and there was no where for us to shelter. At one point some part of a house or barn blew over our heads. We finally made it to an old shed and took shelter there.

Hello rick_d! I usually spent my whole life living in a province with my family. My mom and I were on the bus going home to our province after enrolling me in college, when something smoke came out on the bus. The driver got panicked and he tried to save life by jumping on the window without even thinking of what will happen to us inside the bus without a driver. Thank God for those civilians on the street and they help stop the bus.

Yes! A few times I have found myself in this situation. I used to work in a grocery shop and I was robbed and hit with a hammer. Lucky I survived to lived to tell the tale and the robber got caught so I feel safer knowing this. I have severe asthma and have taken many severe attacks. I went unconsious once but luckily my neighbour got help and I am still around. I also took a severe allergic reaction to an antibiotic. My airways closed over but my husband saved me by calling an ambulance on time. That was a scarey time for me.
