I pray to God to thank him for the blessings that he has given us. A beautiful world to live in, food on the table, a roof over our heads, and if we are lucky enough to have it entertainment. The benefit that we derive from prayer is a sense of calm and blessing. Remember when you give thanks to God he will remember that! Praying to God also allows you to forget your anxiety and worries as they are needless in the big scheme of things. Granted we will always worry and have anxiety, but they seem to be more relieved when we pray.

Well we should pray to God for all the wonderful things he have created in this world. The main benefit of prayer is spiritual health. We usually keep our mind and body health by exercising but how do we keep out spiritual life health. Meditating help but we could use God as guidiance in this path

People pray to God for the following reasons: 1. People do not have much work to do. If you are a busy hard-working person, you will not find time to pray. 2.People have no faith in themselves. So, it is nice to have faith in something which does not exist. 3. Prayer also makes one egoistic. The one who prays thinks that he is superior to the one who does not pray. If you pray for ten minutes and your neighbour prays for only five minutes, then you are far superior to your neighbour.

I agree to the above point - By offering prayer, we are surrendering ourselves including egoistic to the Almighty.
