Third time's a Charm

The first time happened last Thursday. At work, I walked smack into a sliding door. I was talking to a co-worker as to where I was going to go for a walk and upon showing her, I showed her how careless I could be. I laughed that embarrassing situation off. I said whoever wiped clean the glass should be commended for a job very well done.
The second time happened yesterday (Friday). At work, I was taking something out from a closet and wham! As I moved my head up, my forehead hit the right frame of the door. It was very loud that the trainee in the living room heard it and asked if I was okay. This time I didn't laugh as it hurt so much. I can still feel it hurt until now and I keep on massaging the bump I have there that appeared afterwards!
I'm thinking today would be the third day of this ongoing slapstick comedy show of mine and I'm wondering what would be next.
Have you ever had one of these weeks?

That sounds just terrible and all I can say is please be VERY careful and try to avoid having this fulfill some dire prophecy about bad things happening in threes. It doesn't have to be that way. THINK! Or, here is one, I had a calamity on the porch this morning, when the wind kicked up and blew one of my hydroponic tomato plants over. Well, if you like threes, it actually blew 3 of them over, but only one got "hurt" and besides it was just one burst of wind. So count my first one as your third. There, you are done with troubles for the week! So am I.
PS: I am going to finish picking up all the little wet rocks out of the carpet tomorrow, because the way the wind is blowing, they will be all dry by then and easier to clean up. Glad that happened outdoors, not in on our near white carpet.

Thanks, drannhh. I think the count stopped at two. In fact, I had a very good day at work yesterday. I am sorry to hear that one of your "babies" got hurt. Is it getting really cold and windy over where you are? I hope you're staying warm then. And have a fun time picking up the dry rocks... today... Thanks!

If it gets below 60F we think it is the reemergence of the ice ages, so not really cold, but windy, yes. Remarkably, however, all three tomato plants survived, even the wilted one, with all of the tiny tomatoes intact.
And I shut the windows, which presumably will keep that from happening again. Most of the wet stuff fell in a tray below so there wasn't much to clean up.
I am so glad that you didn't bonk your head on anything else last week. :-)

Don't jinx me, drannhh. I think I get more careless when I don't feel too good. Yes, I don't feel good again. And I don't understand it. I have been really good with resting and sleeping for at least 7 hours daily.
Anyway, I'm glad your tomatoes have survived the nasty fall. We're actually having rain right now and I think we're about 39F right now. It is brrrr cold.

If I caught each and every one of these incidents on video, mjmlagat, and sent them to AFV, I would have been a contender to win or so. Thanks for the response and yes, I try to be more careful. You too.

Well, this things do happen. I believe if time is not correct everything goes against you. As for me there had been situation where everything was going wrong.
First day, I was playing badminton and I had cramp in my legs.
Next day, when the pain was still there my bike kick back fired on the same leg.
While I was in severe pain by now, my friend by mistake dropped a heavy box on the same leg.
Phew!!!! That was indeed one of my worst week. But was followed by a lovely week where I had nothing to do just complete rest where was taken care by my friends and GF.

Your poor leg, ashish. I hope it is all better now and hasn't been befell by any more accidents.
It seems like you have a caring girlfriend... I took note of that considering your response in my other discussion.
Thanks again, ashish. And be careful out there.

Here's hoping your third doesn't come as mine did not as well, riyasam. We'll both just try to be careful then maybe that will help us a lot. Take care and thanks for the response!

tat happened to many times before when i was yuonger. i was so careless back then. but i had learned my lesson well. i wished that i was more careful back then so that i had no any evidence of any incident before that happened. anyways, it was not funny at all though it was long time ago. i still blame myself for such foolish and for being so careless back then. though not all accidents that i had before hurt that much but still the minor injury and minor wounds really a big deal for me till now.

I'm curious as to what these injury and wounds are, hotsummer, if you don't mind sharing them.
I was a very careless kid too... I guess until now. My family no longer says they feel bad about this or that, instead they just right away assume that I was being careless and tell me to be careful all the time.
Just think of the "evidence" as something that you triumphed over, hotsummer. Take care. Thanks!

Hey anne! I'm not laughing at all! Welcome to my world! I
do that sort of stuff all the time! In fact last night after
spending the day Christmas shopping and running errands I
got home and was still in my "running" around doing everything
"hyper" mode and I was talking to bf and he was driving me
crazy about something and I ended up walking straight into
this wooden screen that I have in the hallway! This is so
typical for me! I banged my nose, but luckily I didn't smash
it too hard! I am always having those kinds of accidents that
you described! Things are always falling on me or I am
banging me head. What you described is a typical week for
me! Aren't you glad that that stuff doesn't always happen
to you? I hope you feel better! Don't worry the bump will
go away! Use some ice!

See, this is why I felt more silly. I hurt myself on something that has been there all this time since I started work, like you with your wooden screen. I hope your nose is feeling much better now though my nose is "sympathetically" feeling your pain. I think the nose is one of the most sensitive parts of the body, right?
The bump has gone down. Boyfriend looked at it last night when I got home and he said it looks much better now and he kissed it so that made me feel extra better.
Be careful out there, Opal. Take care.

Oh Julise, that was quite a year for you then huh? I've hit my head when getting into the car but I've never been hit by a car (G Forbid!). And yes, I've had a boyfriend for 11 days because I thought I liked him enough but obviously it became clear I wasn't. You take care, julise and thank you for sharing.
