Thinking too much?

Sometimes I think that I think way too much. It gets overwhelming sometimes. So many thoughts racing through my head all at once. Why things are the way they are, what can I do, what to do, or just plain why. I am such a worry wart LOL. I sleep a lot sometimes because I think it is because I am just plain exhausted from thinking all day. I think maybe it may be some type of attention deficit disorder. What do you guys think?

You know what? I think me and you can be good friends. Because, i am EXACTLY like you. To give you a picture of my state of 'disorder' (LOL!! Is this really a disorder?!!), i pause every 5 minutes when i'm on the computer, close my eyes, and relist the many things i've got to do with my mental to-do list, and i start thinking of the many things i't got to worry about. That's me. In fact, i know the solution to this problem is some simple meditation (because it really teaches you how to concentrate to keep all the junk out of your mind), but i'm just too lazy to cultivate it.

Its really difficult to know what to think when all we have heard is that you think about things a lot. For example, do you go to work? Do you have a family? Are you with or without children? All sorts of things can contribute to your thinking patterns. But are you a worrier or a day dreamer? A puzzler or a plotter? Some might say that you have an uninteresting life and therefore spend your time in thought so to avoid your lack of stimulation. I dont think it is attention defiecit disorder......but could be attributed to depression. What the cause of the depression is another matter entirely.

Absolutely right. I think, lol, that I need to elaborate a little more. I work at home as a customer service rep. I answer calls for national teleservices company. I am a gay, and I have a partner of three years. No children, but three dogs, one cat, a snake, a monitor lizard, a spotted grouper and a lionfish. You could say I am a worrier, as well as a daydreamer. A puzzler much more than a plotter. I am not sure what some would say, but some times I think my life can get pretty interesting considering that it has it's fair share of drama and restlessness. Both of those alone could contribute to depression or vice-versa.

I am a worrywart too, and I keep myself up at night with all the thoughts that run through my head. It probably isn't ADD, but if you're really concerned about that you can do a search on adult ADD and there is a questionnaire that you can take. I am apparently not ADD, but some times I really wonder with the way I skip from project to project.

That little voice inside your head is just running you. Instead of you running it. How many time have you heard yourself having a disagreement in there. You come up with what you think is a good idea and that little voice begins to rattle off reasons why it wont work. The key is to begin to listen to it and acknowledge what it is telling you. And to actively tell it to stop and take control of it. I used to be that guy that over analyzed everything and fortunately for me a friend introduced me to landmark education and it has made a significant change in the way that I look at things. Here is a link to the introduction video http://www.landmarkeducation.com/introduction_to_the_landmark_forum_video.jsp Check it out and see what you think.

Well, I think about my child's future of how she will as a teenager and how I will be worried about her, since the world is getting more and more materialistic with no values at all. I think about money, how will I be if I was rich, how my life will be. However I try not to think too much for the future or for what had happened in the past since life is too short. It's not worth it thinking everytime, we have to live day by day and live life to the full. Too much thinking makes you feel stressed and upset so try to enjoy life :)

Thinking too much is all right but what is more important is thinking in a right direction. Nowadays it is being proved that thoughts are form of energy which is transmitted around you, so if you are positive thoughts then all the good things will happen in life and if you are negative thinker then you are attracting bad things in your life. So keep thinking but positively only. The moment you think something negative ask your mind to stop as naturally you do not want bad things in life. For controlling thoughts you can try some meditation.

I think a lot too and what I usually think about is what type of things I want to do in life, or just what I want to do for the rest of the day. Unfortunately I spend too much time thinking and never really ever get anything done. I don't think its ADD or anything like that, I think I just get stuck in my own head too much sometimes.
