wordpress 2.7 is out...

To all wordpress users of mylot,
Wordpress has released its latest version wordpress 2.7
I saw and tested its beta versions earlier and now the wordpress has released the stable version.
It has a better and easy to use interface along with other functionalities at the dash board. We now have drop menus for posting and for other option.
whats your opinion about it? will you upgrade to it?

I heared about it a while ago and was curious about it. Before the weekend I saw I could update my blogs (I'm a professional blogger) and I started with one. It took me a while to get used to the new layout, but after I got used to it, I changed my second blog. Today or tomorrow I will do the rest.

Did you had any compatability issues with any of the plugins or themes?

Until now I have had one problem. I work with firefox and in firefox my blogs were OK, but when I opened them in IE there was some extra code in my blog posts and my blog didn't show like it should. It was code that got inserted because I copy/paste from Word, and I removed it before, but with the update it got back. But that's the only problem I found.

I just upgraded to wordpress 2.7... the interface is super cool.. but sometimes I feel that the sidebar on the right is quite annoying, I dont know why, but I really hate the navigation on the right I think it better to put the navigation on the top like the old one

I upgraded to Wordpress 2.7.2 beta 3 and now to 2.7. To be honest the little tricks from the administration side are not very relevant in my case, since i use an administration plugin that changes the whole look of the administrative section. Instead of having the classic orizontal menu's in the dashboard, you have vertical and so on. For me, the most important aspect of 2.7 is security related. However, database interaction and the management of the data plays alos an important role.

i too used a plugin called light menus to make drop down menus in dashboard.
yes security is the important factor for a website. so everyone should upgrade.
