When there was an earthquake here in the philippines in the year 1990. It was Mt. Pinatubo, the current strongest volcanic eruption ever recorded in history. There were many refugees and many people died in different cities. Here in our city, we left our homes and went to a refugee camp. Then one day, I was so hungry and I went to an eatery in a large tent. My uncle ordered delicious looking meat and we ate while we talked about the volcanic eruption. I admit it was very delicious and yummy. It was my first time eating this kind of meat then when I asked what it is. My uncle said it was a dog. I was not disgusted at all because it tastes delicious. Then he said it was not a foreigner dog but is native dog which is mostly cooked and butchered here in asia. Foreigner dogs are pets here in the philippines but native dogs are cooked and butchered in some places. But there is now a new law banning the butchering of dogs here in the philippines with 20 yrs imprisonment and a large amount of bail. My dog was missing, I think they butchered him, and I think it is right to ban dog butchering here in our country

Dogs have for decades been butchered as food and even raised for that purpose in the Cordillera, an upland region here in the Philippines. It remains an exotic food and despite a law that bans this, it does still exist. Many times I have enjoyed eating this stuff. I only stopped doing so when I was told that it contains a lot of cholesterol and not a healthy practice. (These dogs are the native or mongrel)after which I became a dog lover and promised myself that "I would rather eat DOG FOOD THAN TO EAT DOG MEAT" hehehe

IO was reading a book about Easter Island (Rapanui) and it said that many years ago, before white men came, the natives raised ans ate some sort of mouse as a delicacy. I have eaten Guinea pigs andthey are yummy.

No I haven't but I would never going to try eat. I am from Quezon and every time am not familiar with the food I always ask what it is. Main reason? It might be a dog. I believe that from the moment you ate a dog meat. All dogs will be angry of you.
