I took lot of videos. They are all in small lengths. Now I want to store them in a CD
or DVD.Before burning the cd,I am thinking of editing the videos I have taken. So that I remove the unwanted portions and make it a interesting VCD.

There're many options, but the only one I know that is free would be Windows Movie Maker. The best I've seen though, has to be Sony Vegas Pro.
You can find a demo version of it, but I don't really know what limitations it has, compared to the full version.

It's a good choice if you ask me, it may not be as powerful as others, but it's easy to use, free, and it gives you enough tools to start out. If later on you realize you actually enjoy the editing process you can always upgrade to something better.

I use a whole lot of different programs which is the best option for top quality videos alot of the programs i use are converters, image editors (used to optimize images for high quality gif image creations), gif generators and animators, windows movie maker (im looking for a better program though wmm takes too much ram to run for some1 who runs close to 5 programs average at the same time), some secondary video editors (for bonus effects) and in the near future ill be using 3d image editors with built in animators (i already have these but i need a special type of format converter)

I'm using Adobe Premiere and CyberLink PowerDirector. I recommend you PowerDirector. It's very user friendly.
