Have you ever felt that you were getting bored with MyLot? I think I'm starting to feel bored with this site because it's like there's only so much I can say about everything. The questions seem to just be repeating. I don't know.. maybe I've spent too many countless hours on the site trying to post as much as I can.

There are times, and tonight is one lol, when the quality of the available discussions is so ho hum that I seriously consider giving it away. But small as the money is, I think of the $60 or $70 dollars my partner and I get (in local currency) each month and think, well, I can be bored or I can be even poorer than I am now. Maybe that is not so important for you?

Sounds like you have mylot burnout. Take a break and come back in a day or 2 (or longer if need be).
I've gotten bored with mylot before, though I always come back. There is almost always something that catches my interest on here. One thing you can do, is add more interests. It might give you a better chance at finding something you be willing to respond to. Good luck!

I would totally have to agree with you when mylot has begun to become totally boring. Honestly there has been a time that I did not spend an entire month not coming on here at all. Like you said, these questions seemed to repeated alot and it seems like you are repeating yourself with each of these responses. Sometimes its best just to only spend a few hours maybe one or two on here and then find other things to do. This is something that I do.

Well, like others have said in here, you will find times where you feel bored with this site, and go do other things instead. For me, there are still times I am more active in here than others. I take occassional breaks from this site as well as I have a lot of other things going on in my life right now as well. If this is the case, just take time to do other things you enjoy and then come back in here as time permits. Just make that decision yourself if it is to cut back on your posting here, what is the best for you.

I'm here after quite a long break. 4 months, to be precise. Before that, I always used to go for the new discussions section, and always found a couple or so of discussions which would interest me. But now I'm having to search a lot for discussions to which I'm inclined to respond. So I think it's not so much the result of your having spent too many hours over here. It's the quality of discussions gradually declining that's responsible. Cheers.

I know. I've been away for a month and I was feeling exactly how you were feeling. Like it wasn't really making me feel silly necesarily talking about nothing but just that it was taking up more time than I would of liked (at least to make a dime). Now I see myself coming back and looking for something new in it and Im not sure if its gonna take on that same effect as when I first started here. I have gotten into ebaying again so I do need some source of income to pay for my fees but yes, it gets boring to the point you just need a break when you start getting that feeling like nothing has really changed.

I too feel bored on some days. But most of the time, i will be able to find good discussions to respond on.
most of us won't search the mylot before starting the discussion, thats why there are so many repeated questions.
Same type of discussions on different day is not a problem, but i have seen same type of questions on the same day, which is not a good thing for mylotters

Getting bored doing the same thing everyday is normal. It is up to us to add spice or variety. For example repeated questions can be answered in a different way with different examples.
Repeated questions tend to come from newbies, maybe because they want to earn fast, or genuine. In a way they give us a chance to present something in a different way, using different sentence constructions and different words having similar meanings. Thus we improve ourselves in language proficiency.
all the best,

No, not at all, infact I think the place is becoming to much intresting with lot of good discussions coming up. Probably you need to add yourself to more intrest groups so that you see really good discussions.

I think it's quite normal. If you post and post and post again just to write post it cambe boring. Ithink you you have to post only about things that you like or are interesting for you and trying to meet people withn different opinioons and ideas about your post. Posting just to make points or make money is boring.

Yes, I've gotten in a rut here before too. I'll look at my friends posts and they always seem to be the same. Then something will happen in my life that I share and it will get better. Then I'll notice different posts in my friends discussions. It just kinda goes in a cycle some times.

What? Never!!! Just kidding. I get bored with this site sometimes. It is mostly because I cannot find anything of substance to post. I try to start a lot of meaningful discussions and usually when i get into a good one I can't get away from here. Yeah I see a lot of the same posts over and over again. You know how many times I've replied to the newbie post? ("I am new here, how do I make money?") At least once a month. Check out some different people's discussions. Add more interests. I don't really have an answer for you on that one but I don't remember you in any of my discussions so maybe you just haven't found what you are looking for. I think I do pretty good up here and hope you check out some of my posts. Cant see how you'd find me boring LOL
