I hate using T9 when I text, I find it easier the other way. I am a lot better at it.

Nope, I haven't mastered it and I've no intention of using it at all. :)
I used T9 wayyyy back but I found that it uses too much character space. Since I want to get a lot in one sms message, using shortcuts is definitely easier. Besides, people who I text seem to understand what I'm writing about without me needing to spell out every word. :D

i prefer to use t9 while texting ..i am good at usage of t9..and i always put my t9 on..i think its very easy to use..i think u dont need to be a master in it if you know the logic u think its very easy...if u want to type 'an'just type the number which contains teh letter 'a' and then the number which contains the letter 'n'ther u can get the several options like am,an,co,bm there u select 'an' its very easy..

i was first using T9 for text messaging...but for some words which are no english it would be difficult..also if i wished to use shortcuts for words then i had to do that manually..so i stopped using T9 and now i use my normal keypad...i only text msg because it is cheaper for me here...now i am a lot used to msging that i can type without looking at my keypad and also that too very fast with great speed and accuracy..
i think practice makes a man perfect..hehe
thanks
happy mylotting

I hate T9 texting. I used it for a little while but I hate when it puts the wrong word up, and you have to go back and change it. It seems like you waste more time to correct its mistakes than you would if you just typed it all out yourself. It just frustrates me.
