Do You Live In A Small Town Or A Big City?

United States

I live in a small town in the state of Missouri, USA. I really don't like living in a small town, but I don't really like the big city either. I'd rather live in maybe a small city. There is a saying that I read one time, "The nice part about living in a small town is that when I don't know what I'm doing...someone else ALWAYS does". I think that pretty much sums up life in a small town. So do you live in a small town or a big city?

I just moved from a town to a village. I used to live in the 3rd largest town in my country and it is definately is big change. So far I like living here, it is very quiet compared to the town and people seem very friendly, but they are more curious than I am used to. Everyone knows eachother and I still have to get used to that. I have never lived in a village before. It is also a bit strange that there is only one shop, because I am used to lots of shops, schools and other activities.

I was born, bought up and educated in India's financial capital-Mumbai (or Bombay). Nine years ago I moved to another city, which though smaller than Mumbai, is no less important and well known globally. I have as a part of my training as well as part of my business lived in small cities, towns and villages for months at a time sometimes. It's exciting to live in a big city, and things get done much faster here than in smaller places. I also find the people in big cities coming quickly to the point, trying to find a solution to a problem quickly. In smaller cities, people tend to wonder about discussing various things rather than about the problem at hand. I wouldn't mind living for a while in a small city town or village, but maybe not for the rest of my life. No offense intended, just sharing an opinion.

I grew up in a small town and lived there till I was about 26. I lived in the big city(St. Louis) for almost 4 years. Now I am living in the country about 7 miles outside the nearest town. I like where I live now for the most part, but there are times where I miss being in a town at least.

Hi there Single Mommy. I live in Bucharest, the capital city of Romania, so i think i qualify for the Big City living. I think that i prefer living here because i have or can get anything i need while in a small town i could hardly get anything i need, and probably they would have higher prices.

As for me, initially I had lived in Small Town but now as for my job have moved to a big city. A think both of them have their merits and demerits. If you live in one you miss the other. If you live in big city you miss the silence and quiet life of the small town and when you are in small town you miss the convienience of big city.

i live in the country on the outskirts of a small town that is growing. That small town is on the outskirts of a big city, so when we need to go anywhere we have to go to the city.

I live in a small town in New Hampshire I have always liked it to for I am not the one for big cities. I like semi quite mellow laid back life style that I live in now and will live for the rest of my life.

I live in a small city. I've lived in small towns and big cities, and I think there is something positive about both. I loved the small town feeling of safety. You could go jogging at one in the morning and feel safe. I also liked how on the fourth of july you could just walk to the park, no parking, no crowds. In the big city I loved all the arts and entertainment that was available. Sadly now I live in a little city now.

I lived in a city but in the area of small brgy. My place is aomewhat isolatd from the city because we use to go up from the town proper passing by the other town before to reach the plca where I live now. In other way I like to live here never to reach up by floods and away from the pollutions made by the smoke belcher. I like too the climate not too hot because of those tress around my house.
