Of course it had nothing to do with Football, he should probably not be able to own any pets however.

I agree. He has to much talent to let go by. I'd give him a chance, he has lost so much already.
What he did to those dogs make me sick, but I have seen people change drastically.
If he does it would be good for the kids who watch the game.

The biggest reason would be b/c kids would look up to him as a role model. The crime he was convicted of was cruel, despicable and downright disgusting...not something anyone wants their kids thinking is ok. I agree he did his time but that doesn't erase what he did. It shouldn't be a case of "ok, I got caught, did my time but now it's business as usual". By his going back into the NFL it's like saying the whole incident can be brushed aside. I hope teams that consider taking him think about what type of person they are thinking of holding up as a role model for kids...someone who would torture and kill defenseless animals for greed of money.

Personally this has been a discussion people have been talking about lately at work. Most of the people I have talked with think he should be allowed to play Football again, and some of the people are wishing that the Seahawks would choose to pick him up as he is a Good player. Personally, it will be interesting I think to see what really happens.

The problem for Vick is not that the NFL won't let him play. The problem for Vick is that even if Goodell were to let him back in I seriously doubt any team would dare touch him.
This subject has been discussed all over the yahoo message boards and on sports radio talk shows and the overwhelming opinion of fans participating is we don't want him. Vick's lack of any contrition after he got caught sealed his fate. His attitude that 'Oh they were just dogs" infuriated alot of people.
You have to remember more then half the population owns pets and to many of these people their pets are their family. In our politically correct world team owners are going to be very hesitant to hire Vick knowing their may be fans so outraged that they may turn in their season tickets.
The sad thing about all this is that for all the money and fame he had the man's mind simply never left the ghetto. Hard to imagine that with all the people around him nobody explained to him how revolted the general public would be at his behavior.
