Hi MyLottians,
I have heard in many discussions that Ciao has been suspending accounts. I guess part of the freeze may be due to organized activities to good positive feedbacks and comments of members in the group. This is only my guess...so I will need to ask if any MyLottians has been part of a group that have eventually resulted in Ciao account termination. If so please speak up and warn others of the consequences because I have been seeing an increasing trend everywhere about a call to group up and try to exploit this area in Ciao. Thank you for your comments.

I tend to ignore all such requests to 'read and rate' reviews from 'friends' and friend requests and I also doubt you will get anyone admitting to this here in your discussion

In that case, you may want to take a look at my previous discussion

Well...I am not asking those who has an active account to share what they have done but for those who have been suspended by Ciao may have their story to tell. It may serve as a lesson for members still in the act. They may be able to save their account if they stop now. There may be another side to the story of Ciao suspending accounts.

Let us be optimistic about the payout matters of Ciao. I am also waiting for the payment that will probably be coming in earliest in another 4 hours time. I believe that Ciao will still fulfill its promise to pay its members and hope that our accounts remain active. I cannot find any reason for them to suspend my account as I have kept my account and earnings 'clean'. Happy MyLotting...

Looks like Ciao has disappointed many speculators claiming that Ciao is a scam and members will not be getting paid. They are slightly late but well...it proves that they are still legitimate. Now, the main concern will be on how to make sure that we can earn as much as before under the new incentive system. Thank you for responding and congratulations on your payout. Happy MyLotting...

Hello stiener It is surprising to note that number of mylottians who are also a member of ciao.com site have expressed their views regarding payment . Earlier also I have expresed my views about the site and I have categorically told that it is very trusted & reputed site since long and members need not to worry about payment. Some members categorised it as a scam, which seems to be pity. Without knowing or ascertaining the facts one should not jump into the conclusion. I think all ciao members who have given their request might have received their payment on 16th. I have also received my payment on 16th Dec.08
I once again appeal to all members there is no need to panic as it is very trusted site.

Well, it is a norm for ordinary people to jump into conclusion. Stating this does not mean that I am a better person than anyone else. I would rather take actions than making claims and become helpless. Perhaps, some people are still looking at the worst possible outcome with self created assumption. Even if Ciao doesn't pay, it is not the end of the world. Why make your life miserable with your own beliefs. Anyway, the truth was out when we received our payments yesterday. I am sure this will not be the last time Ciao or other reputable site will be associated with other scam sites. Cheers and Happy MyLotting...

Hello stiener I think it is a rumour and my account in ciao is still active. Due to change of ciao's payment policy number of members puzzled as the site has rightly assessed that quality of writing is necessary. I think it is very good site and good peoples are associated with the site. There is no panic about the scam of the site. Thanks

It is definitely a rumour and I do not share the believe that Ciao will turn into a scam site. I also could not understand why the strong foundation of Ciao can be shaken by such rumours. Maybe there was a mix feelings between the new incentive system and the delay in payments (only an hour or so). Why was there a need to panic when there weren't anything to suggest that Ciao is not paying.
In my opinion and from a business perspective, the new incentive system is essential to maintain the quality of the site. Even though it will hurt my earning potential at Ciao, I am still supportive of the new system. Thanks for responding and Happy MyLotting...

ok this news is new for me. hmmm, I never heard about it.
I think thats a rule of that in ciao. coz some members cooperate with other members to rate good for their review.
anyway, whats the biggest quetion now is ciao turning to scam or not.
btw, have you see other disscusion about ciao turn to scam? do you think so?

my account is still ok..I've heard that rumor yesterday here at mylot..Most of the members are suspended or terminated. Maybe because they were caught cheating..I have seen some reviews are copied and it's against their TOS..Ciao's action is reasonable enough.

For as long as Ciao conduct thorough investigation and produce enough evidence to support the suspension. It will be fair to do so. If they are suspending out of pure assumption or not providing any reason then I think they are going overboard. I am not able to judge as I am not being suspended. Will there be anyone willing to step out of the crowd and admit that their account may be suspended in the case of cheating or violating of Ciao's TOS? Ultimately only the person himself knows what he has done...
Thanks for responding and Happy MyLotting...

i would not be surprised if this was the case. since they remove the 25cents per review, members are finding it harder and harder to earn from CIAO as they are paying only about 800 reviews monthly. This quantity is only a fraction of what was submitted in a month so the chances of gettting paid is low. IN fact, i see it as CIAO would get lots of free reviews instead and in the end, i dun think many members would want to write in CIAO therefore this led to the exploitation of the read/rate reviews where members gathered among themselves to earn. i see nothing wrong with that and seriously, if that is also taken away, do you think CIAO would have so much activities in their site?
