How many days or weeks or months did you learn how to play guitar?

I learned the basic guitar chords for 1 month. But I still don't know the other guitar chords. I think I only memorized the basic guitar chords. My uncle was the first one to teach me how to play the guitar. He said that I must not only play the guitar but also learn how to sing. He thought me voice lesson and how to apply guitar when I sing. He's a good guitar player and a singer. I was 14 at that time. Then now I know how to sing and also play the guitar.

I dont think it is a question of days,weeks,months or years.If you are concerned only with the basic,then it is only a matter of time.But if you want to master the instrument,then your whole life time is not enough.Because not only guitar,any instrument can be explored upto your interest.Even then,there will be something to learn more.Music has no boundaries and if it has to be,then the sky is the limit.Cheers!

It just take a few month or so if you just wanna play the guitar but it took a lifetime to master it. I mean the learning process is still going even if we already knew how to play it. I 'd already played the guitar for almost 20 years now but still I'm learning a few new trick for playing the guitar.
