Do you ever wonder whether God always answer prayers? These questions about prayer sooner or later arise in almost everyone's mind. Yet, if you will but open the glowing pages of your Bible, you will see spread there like jewels in purple velvet, the many, many assurances that God does answer prayer. If you are really in deep problem try to spare a quiet moment in the early hours of the morning where everyone is still asleep and try to communicate with God in your own words your problem and he will definitely come to your aid, no matter how difficult it is but it might not be the way you want it to happen. He acts in his own mysterious ways. But when you do not get immediate answers to your prayers, don't be dishearten and don't let your faith weaken. It will happen without us realizing it. Have you ever experience your prayers been answered? Care to share it here.

Yes, the answers come in different forms which is difficult to comprehend. But some people brush it aside and doesn't understand what is happening in their life is all God's work. I am saddened by those non-believers who still think that their prayers are never answered. But we can't explain to them in details that God is working in other ways and not in what they prayed for.

Yes I can say god answers prayers. Its just that we want it fast, fast. Sharp, sharp... but you see he does things at the right time so we could learn somethings from the sitution so that we will not go thru such again and also to be able to use it to bring another persons faith up. Evry one has sitution that we go thru yes we pray to see God intervention, He will intervein but we have to learn from that situation. If some of us dont get into some diecy sitution and God has resqued us at the tail end we would not know the kind of attribute we possess and we would not know the kind of friends we have. So God answers prayers its only that 'self' is affecting us.

Hi davido, sometimes people think that prayer is very complicated thing, but really it is very, very simple to understand. Prayer is infact just talking to God. He will act in his own mysterious ways so we must not expect instant miracles to happen.

God sure answers our prayers. I have many first hand accounts in my life. We were without the blessing of a baby for a long time and have taken all the possible treatments for more than a couple of years. Nothing worked out. We have decided to stop the treatment and net to a temple and prayed to the God with all lour heart. My wife conceived the next month. I just can go on with so many incidents like this in my life. Thanks for giving me an opportunity to send a fraction of a second thanking God through this response.

Prayers are powerful tool. Whatever you ask will depend upon your own faith and the earnestness of your seeking. And happy to know that your prayers have been answered.

Well, I believe God answers most prayers but not all. Some prayers are just too ridiculous to answer. For example, prayers like I wish to be a millionaire by tomorrow. Isn't that ridiculous? The only way to do that is probably through lottery but does God encourage gambling? There are a few types of prayers. 1. Prayers answered 2. Prayers not yet answered but will be answered 3. Prayers too ridiculous to be answered I agree with you. When I look back at my life, God has indeed helped me and blessed me many times. There's nothing more I can wish for.

You're right, God does not want our prayers to be magic. He does not want us to regard prayer as ordering some thing over a heavenly "telephone"

You are right, we cannot move God hand or tell him what to do. He knows best for us so we have to allow him to do the things for us that God knows is in our best interest. Also praying for something you will have to be sincere about it, your mouth cannot speak onething and your heart says something else, remember God know what is in your heart. Praying to be a millionair is a prayer that can be answered, but it is our intention when we become a millionair that matters. Some persons when we are blessed by God become very selfish and forget that God was the one who in the first place puts them in that position. If it is God desire for you to become a millionaire tomorrow He must know the purpose and the reason why he should make you a millionaire, because he might have a mission for you to feed the hunger, clothes the clotheless and shelter those who need sheltering, so I think that He can make you into a millionaire not for your own sake but to help others as well.

I have had my prayers answered several times. The lord is good to me. The first that I recall was 3 years ago when my mother was in the hospital, my sister called and said I had to come now because my mom wouldnt make it through the night. I prayed all the way to the hospital and when i got there she started getting a little better each day, the doctor even said it was a miracle. She is still alive today. Another time was ehwn something happened and I couldnt see my daughters for 3 months I prayed and prayed and I was finally able to see them again and they are living with me now. I have also been praying for my youngest daughter alot as she has been ill and she is doing better.

Actually God always answered all our prayers 3 different ways. First, Yes and you will feel it that this is my prayer. Second, No that is not good for you, this one is the best for you. Third, Wait, and He will answer your prayer in the best time. Thanks for the Good Topic.

I love your lines: ..."the glowing pages of your Bible, you will see spread there like jewels in purple velvet"... - Any time I have gotten serious with God, he has always showed up.. and with him, comes the answer and solution.. (sometimes the answer can be no.. and he's always right about it.. and some things take a lifetime to work out.. It's all a beautiful weaving.. the lesson of our life, that is..) blessings!

Yes it is! I've been a christian believer for thirty years, come this March, and though there's cleansing times and life still has some difficulties life with God (as you know) just keeps getting better and better! The key of course is to always be pursuing Him and reading those "glowing pages"! Because HE is the only source of goodness, transformation and the inner healing which all need.

i believe that God answers our prayers but in his own right time. What we believe may be best for us during a certain time, may not be really the best time for us. The Lord wouldn't give us challenges which we cannot surpass. We need only to put our trust in Him, have faith, and everything will work out. I've learned to trust His will and He never disappoints me. I remember praying for things in the past which have been answered now.. looking back, i wouldn't have been able to benifit what i've prayed for in the past if i as able to get it that time, The Lord knows everything:)

I quit asking God for anything except to keep my children and loved ones safe. I don't mention myself in prayers, I don't ask for anything no matter how desperately it is needed. When I did God just played dirty tricks on me. When I prayed because we had no food or no means to get it, God gave an abundance of food to my deadbeat ex. When I prayed about a house closer where my daughter could attend college I didn't get it but the ex did and is now buying a house. I gave up praying for necessary things. If I get them it will be because I did it, not God.

Pray for your husband so he can feel the joy of God presence. My husband was an unbeliever in most of our marriage life but I never fail to ask the holy spirit to soften his heart and come to the right path. Now he is more christian then I am and never fails to pray every night even though a lot of damaged has been done in my union with him but I just hope that he'll be forgiven for it. I know my life has and is a great upset but am picking up the pieces as I believe that we are all not saint and bound to fall to evil deeds.

Yes, I always believe with no doubts that God really answers Prayer..I believe that what ever written in the Bible are never void...He said ask and it shall be given Unto you... So its a matter of asking... For prayers that has not been answered means wait or not yet the time, or No because it is not for you. God knows what is best for us.When He seems not to answer your prayer, it is because He sees that it is not going to be for the better. But if it is for the better and you ask, God never fails. He Answers.

i believe God works in mysterious ways..if we don't get what we asked for now we'll soon discover that when we really need it its just there to help us survive..i believe in God's providence and i don't believe in coincidence..every good things that happens to us is God's willing..we asked for it and he answered what we asked for..if he didn't gave it when we asked for it..it was just on a delay and it will for sure arrive

I always feel God's answer to my prayers. It may not be exactly what I want but he always give the best.He answers prayers in time best for us.This is how I feel.So when I pray I wait for his answer patiently and do not blame him when he does not give it to me at an instant. Many times I would cry thanking him for his answered prayers. One good example is my daughter's passing the board exam for doctors. She passed after 3 times of trying.I have always reminded her not to lose hope.It was just a test for her so she will know how God cares for her.He wants her to be close to him so she can be a good doctor. She had passed so many trials in life I know because I was always with her in praying. She was always been guided so she will know she is really cared by God.

Praise the Lord, He has answered your prayers for your daughter. When God said "No" to some of your prayers, you will always find there is a very good reason for it. The reason may not be plain to your right away, but sooner or later it will be made clear.

Yes prayers are answered, especially if you don't try to tell God what to answer. And don't forget to listen. To often we get impatient or we just don't hear what we want to hear and so turn off. When you turn something over to God let it alone, after all he's the one really in charge.

I have prayers that took only minutes before they were answered and I also have prayers that took years before they were answered. I think that the mere act of praying makes us closer to whatever we want because we focus all our energy to it and we let God do whatever he wants - which makes it easier for us to let go, to accept it as it is or will be, however he wants it because we all know that He's only looking out for us and whatever the answer is, it'll be good. (did i just write that really really long sentence?) Thanks for the comment on my discussion!

Hi oyenkai, sorry for this delay in replying. God answers your prayer in one of four ways - all of them loving and infinite in wisdom. God says: "yes", "No" "wait" or "Here is something better." so when you pray, do not look for just one answer. All the others are answers and often greater answers then "Yes"

What the bible says is that the prayers of the righteous have tremendous weight in th the eyes of the Lord. Prayer is simple the vehicle we can use to get our hopes, dreams, and wishes from our hearts to God's ears. The fuel that is needed is faith and belief. Also God does not answer all prayers. He knows what things we are in need of before we even ask him. Our prayers cannot contradict His Word or they would be deemed invalid, unreachable to God's ears.
