What is the advantage of using a SWITCH rather than a HUB?

Any data entering a switch is directed to the host pc where the data belongs. A hub doesn't know how to direct any data to a specific pc so it directs all data to all pcs on a network. A switch makes data traffic control far easier. Andrew

Switch repalced Hub becoz how many connections u Connect with HUB Nets performance Goes slow bt in Switch How many connections u add its performance becomes same for all users.EX - In Hub If u hav 256 Kbps net connection n u add four connection with it, its bandwidth divided into four Bt in the switch in same conditon speed will same for all means in Hub after adding more connection performance of net decreases bt in Switch doesnt.
