online and ready to check out. I belong to a cash back program and wanted to see if the website was listed there, and it was. To my surprise the price on the rebate site was $20 HIGHER!! No wonder they can afford to give me free cash back. Anyway I bought the software directly on the site. Well I got another surprise. Since I had opened the rebate program window too, I also got cash back!!! Saved $20 bucks and got cash back. What a great xmas gift to myself.

Congratulations on your good fortune! I wonder, though, if it wasn't just a case of the vendor having a sale price which wasn't updated on the cash back site. Either way, it worked out great for you. Just think of it as my Christmas present to you since I didn't get you anything else (don't discount my enormous cosmic influence!).

That is great for you, and a great tidbit of information that uses these rebate sites! I never thought that they would up the price of an item in order to give a rebate. So everyone please do your research and make sure that even on the rebate site, you are getting the best price for your items!
