The gulf or the atlantic ocean water is warmer in Dec/Jan?

I'm getting ready to go to Orlando, FL and thinking about visiting the beach either the gulf or the atlantic, but wanted to know if one or the other water temperatures is warmer. Perhaps that both are about the same, should be in the 50's degree? What would you suggest?

todays gulf temp is running 66 in st pete to 75 in keywest. i would figure seeing that the atlantic is larger it is most likely colder.i live on the gulf and i like it so much better than the east coast beaches.the east coast has the better resturants and party's,but getting up in the morning and seeing the gulf like a sheet of glass is intense to say the least.you'll have a ball in orlando,enjoy
