I have a male doctor for illnesses and such but a female when I need her yearly. I kinda lean towards having a female doctor because I'm more comfortable. Does it matter to you which one you have as long as they are good at what they do? I know alot of women that love their male doctors and men that have female doctors they see.

Yes, it does matter to me. Like you, I used to have two doctors, one male and one female. I got so comfortable with my female doctor that I now use her for everything. DH also uses the same doctor.

I prefer to have a female doctor. She seems to go in and get it done quickly, if you know what I mean. With male doctors I always hear, "Does that hurt? Let me know if I'm hurting you, etc". It always leaves me thinking, "Get It Done Already!"

I prefer having a female doctor. It's more comfortable to me to bring up female issues and more than likely has more of an idea of what it is i'm going thru.
My husband prefers a female as well. They also seem to listen better but maybe that's just a woman thing.lol

It's just me and my daughter and we have a family doctor that is a man. but since she has gotten older(17 now) she now See's her own doctor which is a woman.I can understand the comfort of this, not only for her but me to.My ex wife and sons see the same doctor as I do.

I do like female doctors better, but honestly: if I'm having problems I'll listen to the best doctor- man or woman, no problem!
