From ABC News: President Bush landed in Iraq Sunday for his 4th and final trip to the country. Shoes and jeers greated the President when he began to speak to reporters there. Until January the 20th he is still our president. Should he have put himself in "harms way" or should he have stayed home, what is your opinion?

I don't necessarily think that this trip would have put him in any more danger than the other 3 did, as it was a "secret" showing. What I haven't been able to figure out what the purpose or significance of him going again, right before his exit.

I think he wanted to make one last grandstand appearance. Remember another grandstand appearance he made when "stood on the deck of the aircraft carrier and said the war is over"?
I agree, Dubah need to retire to his Texas ranch and shoot some rabbits with his buddy Cheney.

Here is what Bush said while standing in front of that "Mission Accomplished" banner:
"In the battle of Iraq, the United States and our allies have prevailed. Major combat operations in Iraq have ended."

I believe that he would be heavily guarded in the first place. Second, if the soldiers could put their life in harm's reach, why shouldn't he. He is the COMMANDER IN CHIEF. He should be able to show his troops that as their leader, he would be out there protecting the country too.
