What'd happened? All messages in inbox are gone!

My uncle has just called me, telling me that all his messages in gmail have gone. There isn't any messages in the inbox, whereas he still got to see the emails last week. Then I just sent him an email for testing, he was able to receive my email by looking at the subject in the inbox, but unable to click and read the email contents.
I am not sure if Gmail deleted all the emails, or his Gmail is having problem. Or is the Gmail being hijack by others, or his computer has infected by virus.
Did anyone experience this before? Any suggestions on how to solve this?
Thanks in advanced.

Hi..
I'm not quite sure about your uncle's problem but I think there are virus in his computers. The virus maybe already erase important files which run Gmail program. I suggest he must start using good antivirus and try if it can heal infected files.

Hello my friend kaka135 Ji,
In fact gmail has introduced lot many new faetures and I too found similar things, there is tab, where one can opt for old-version, try and hit taht, see, if can be returned to normalacy. Or best is to contact gmail team. Even sify is also fllowing gmai pattern. May god bless you and have a nice time.
