Which is your ammo :)
I just don't get it why people still use shortening when we all know for a fact that it's a lot worse than butter, in terms of health and flavour...
yes shortening makes the cake last longer, but... why bother when it's home made?
you want a moister cake? add 1/4 cup of mayonaisse to your cake and it'll be superb!
So, which, and why?

or you can add pudding instead of mayo :P but I'm wondering if you can use fruit puree such as applesauce O.o
But yeah, I'm more into using butter m'self :D

Some people don't want to use dairy products so they are stuck with margarine as a hard fat. I'll have to try the mayo in a cake. Grated cooked beets in brownies makes them super moist and yummy.

hi, alex!
actually, i usually use margarine instead of butter when i bake. well, because it's a cheaper substitute. :) i may risk using butter though when i'm really good in baking. LOL!
anyway, thanks for the tip about adding mayo to the cake. but, do you just add it, or do you alter the measurements of the other ingredients?
happy new year! i figure you're a great cook. would really love to try some of your recipes. :)
