Are you an organ donor?
In the event that something happened to your children would you donate their organs? Why or Why not.
More than 94,000 people are waiting for the gift of life.
I am an organ donor. My mother was saved by organ donation. If in the event something did happen to my children (G-D forbid) I think I would because it would be good to know that they live on and saved another child.

I believe that the body is merely the vessel. I certainly would donate organs of my children. There have been many very touching stories of just such happenings. Ofcourse if my children ever expressed that they would not want their vital organs donated then I would definitely respect their feelings.

Although I suffer from a number of illnesses that would probably preclude my organs from being anyone's saviors, I still want them donated. I hope they could help scientists find treatments or even cures for heart defects, various cancers, diabetes, and other ailments. My soul would remain with my husband. What could be better?

I am an organ donor. I would donate blood, too, if I were able. See, I was in a severe accident in 1985, and I was *very* lucky. I could have required either organ transplants or blood transfusions. But, as I say, I was lucky, and all I required were some surgeries. To be honest, I don't understand how people can *not* be organ donors, if their organs are healthy enough to be given (along with hope) to someone who needs them. I mean, it's not like they (the organs in question) are being used anymore... I feel that it's selfish to deny someone the miracle and gift of life just because they feel squeamish about the idea of their organs being in someone else.
Sorry, I'll get down off my soapbox now. ;)
