Can you do it? and if so.. are your fingers on the right keys? Being the asdf and jkl; keys? I used to not be able to type without looking then in 8th grade I took a keyboarding class where I learned how to type correctly and even got high school credit for it too. It's a great thing to have learned especially with technology taking over the world today.

I can type without looking and will usually do it that way. I have been able to do this since my high school years. I didn't take a typing (it was called that in the old days!) class but decided that since college required lots of papers, I would learn to type. After all, there was too much fun going on to spend hours slowly typing a paper.

Yeah, i can type without looking. i never have any typing lessones. i just do it on my intuition and more practice. and of course i can't do it when i was at high school and which was also my unfamilia with keyboarding. but gradually with my often touch with keyboarding, i can do it very well.

I have been a typing wizard since my early ages. I have always been intrigued by computers and I used to do chat room role playing when I was a teen. Typing is like third nature to me. I can type around 80 words a minute too. It's amazing how the brain can process thoughts into words on the computer so quickly.

i can definitely type without looking because that is what i do for a living. i work in an office every other day and have done so for a couple of years. the only thing that is different between work and home is that at home, we have an ergonomic keyboard which just takes some getting used to.

I can try without looking for the most part. There are some days when I need to look at the keyboard becuase my fingers don't wish to cooperate, which means I can't type to save my life.

Yeah I can type without looking at the keyboard (am doing so now :P). I calibrate myself my just placing my fingers on the wasd keys and then looking up and guessing my way from there. It's really normally very accurate guessing, but with a new keyboard it may take a bit of time to get used to different key spacings. It's not as if it slows me down either, I can type without looking at the keyboard almost as fast as looking at it, which is why I don't usually look :)

I couldn't type without looking at the keyboard... I am only accurate 30% most of the time if I try to type without looking. I admire your typing skills..

I was put into a typing class before highschool, and I'm very happy I was. Now, I can type faster than most of my friends. Not only that, but it's helpful. I think it's really important to know how to type. Like what you mentioned, with the technology taking over the world. I find it very important and I'm especially happy I'm good at it.

I have gotten better at this and able to do it more efficiently. Before I learned how to type, I had a hard time with this. I spent years doing data entry type of work and writing papers so eventually I got to where I can type without looking at the keyboard now. I can usually type about 60-65 words per minute these days.

I was learning fast typing at home, thanks to one software. But I never mastered totally this "blind-typing" techique. Even now when I type these line I am looking at the keybord. But it is useful to try thus, because You remember the placement of signs on the keybord. Besides, one should be very Pro at blind typing. It may cause many mistakes. Should be aware from them!
