Hello everyone. Last night (Philippine time), I attended my aunt's 69th birthday! It was a surprise party for her by her children. They held it in one of the prestigious hotel here in our country. We had so much fun besides being starstuck because there's a lot of big personalities (i.e. senators, former presidents, singers and other prominent names) as guests. LOL. After the program, we went ballroom dancing. Wow, I practiced again my dancing skills. LOL. Though we were not into wearing formal dresses (i.e. gowns, barongs, tuxedo's) well, I could say that we really look nice. hahaha. How about you? When was the last time you attended a strictly formal party? HOw did it go? Did you have so much fun as my family, relatives and I did? I'll try to post pictures of the event when I get the photo's from the official photographer. Happy Holidays to all! HUGZ always!

well I had just a Fall semester party given to me by my juniors as sort of on going farewell, this was the last formal party I have been a part of.
it was on 21 October 2008. The best thing was I had picked any girl I wanted from the juniors years and they were for once not all fussy about it and in fact they were pretty glad about it.
Although it was not a date but we danced , talked and had fun.....I never thought Formal events could be so much fun, if you have the CORRECT COMPANY....what do you think??

Hi dhangski,
wow..I can just imagine how you had fun with your relatives! Anyway, when I was working before, we always have an annual formal party which is very very organized and a lot of surprises but after the fine dining, here comes the unformal dancers on the floor! Joke!
I miss all those events since being a full time wife now, I have limited parties to attend to, well, good side is that less expenses! LOL!

Hi che. You bet, It was really too expensive having to attend parties like this. But costs is not as valuable as the enjoyment that the whole clan had experienced. We do have family reunions every year, but this party was really different. HUGZ always! Miss you friend!!!

Wow I'm sure it was really a very memorable moment in your life. As I could remember the last time that I attended a formal party was during the debut party of one of my friends. that was long, long time ago.
We will wait for the pictures...

Yesterday, one of our lawyers here got wed. The church wedding ceremony was held inside a military camp here in Cebu. There were lots of big names from the city's administration like the mayor, a judge, a prosecutor, and a lot more lawyers. There were even some broadcasters from different networks. The reception was later held uphill Cebu's one of the best party place. The food were all good. But though I can say the everybody's happy for the new couple, I felt uneasy for the cold air up there. The place was too cold and I thought of getting off the party earlier but the place was far.

I rarely get out and it is rarely ever for formal attire. I would say the last time I got really dressed up would be for my uncles wedding a few years ago. Everyone was dressed very nicely in beautiful attire.

Hello there Dhangz! Long time no see... ...
well, for me, I had that 2 years ago. It was a 100 years together party from one of our dearest friends. 100 because they were 50 years together ( golden wedding anniversary) and the woman turned 50. I was wearing a very formal dress and a 3 inches highheels... gosh! I felt like a teenager attending a debut party... lol.. It was fun really!
Happy Holidays!

I have to spend my whole day at the mall to look for a nice dress and a pair of beautiful heels.

I have been to a formal party a day b4 only..it was marriage of my cousin . since u know how big marriages are in india and esp hindus and it was a typical hindu marriage though untypical because my cousin who is from calcutta married a girl from madras that too in delhi when neither girl or boy or their parents live in delhi . But all marriage parties are fun here and despite i was in suit and tie it was fun. We did lots of dancing and singing and ofcourse some boozed like there is no tomorrow and despite the Delhi traffic which took me more than two hours to reach the venue i enjoyed it.
