the first 5 years of childs life is critical to his brain development, the best time is now to stimulate your childs brain.the baby brain thrives on stimulation and develops at a phenomental pace.the brain develop at about 90% the first year.they can learn before they speak.check out this website you will love it and tell me what you think.---www.yourbabycanread.tv

I saw this program a few times on late/early tv. Babies reading...hmmm. Well I think it is great that babies and kids are learning things earlier and earlier, but it's just not for me and my daughter. I want to enjoy those early years where she learns different words, and not to pressure the learning on to her. It seems that parents try to force learning, and new things on to their children. I mean for some people this program could be really great. I just feel that I didn't have this program growing up, and I turned out just fine. I am literate, and intelligent. I would rather enjoy her being a baby, and not force her to grow up so fast. :)Happy mylotting.

Yes, in China there are more and more baby children begin to attend in interesting classes. More and more young parents hope their children are talent. Children spend most of their time on all kinds of study. They lose their nature and happiness. I think playing is the children's nature. I do not agree give them much pressure on study. Do their best is ok.

While it is important to stimulate your child's brain, you should be careful about pushing too hard. Teaching a child to read before they are ready is not developmentally appropriate. I am not saying that it can not be accomplished. Some children are more able than other to pick up new skills and advance their skills, but you still should remember skills that are developmentally appropriate. To stimulate your child in the proper way, expose them to new sights, smells and activities. Keep in mind not to over-stimulate your child. All in all, if you teach a child to read before they are ready, you will cause future delays in development!

I don;t believe it, I trained in psychology with specific courses in t his area and no babies cannot read, they do something called subatizing which means they can remember where things are and point to them but, or recognize them but they cannot read

Mine is a two year old and he can count from 1 to ten in my mother tongue and 1 to twelve in English and everyone was amazed when he can tell what is wrong and what is right. He once told me being stingy is not good and slapping people around is not good. He even put away his toys and dirty clothes on his own and in its proper place. I am trying to get him to recognize letters, since he is interested.

i know that the first 5 years are very crucial for a child's physical as well as mental development. Brain development is faster so parents need to stimulate their child. My son will turn 3 this February and he can recognize almost all the capital alphabets in the headlines of the newspaper. I am glad about that. Ofcourse we should not overdo things to make our child a super brain because the child may become averse to studies in future. But we can teach as much as possible with creative games and plays.
