Staying hydrated is great way to avoid a whole list of negative health issues and fatigue is one of them. So try stashing a bottle of water at your workstation or your car so you can sip on it throughout the day. It will help keep your gears lubricated and your mind focused like a laser. Just remember I said water and not coffee or soda!

Hello laydee. I drink water or tea when I work in the office. I drink more of tea than plain water. It is a habit of mine to drink tea or water. I think that it is a good habit to drink either of them on my side.

Well, I do agree that drinking water is really good for health. I always try to drink as much water as I can, especially in day time. I will drink at least a full glass of water just after I wake up, I heard that it's really good for our bodies. Then I'll try to drink 2 bottles of water, which is about 3 liters per day.

I drink a lot of water each day. I know the minimum we are supposed to drink is eight glasses a day, but I drink more than that usually. I like a glass of ice cold water. I may have a Coc-cola, but nothing replaces water. I could use a nice cool glass of water right now! : )

Oh that's great. But remember, though the standard is 8 (they say) it isn't applicable to everyone, it has something to do with body type and environment as well. So perhaps your minimum is higher than 8 right?
Do check with your doctor though, because too much water could also drown your system.
Good luck!

I need to remember to take a bottle of water with me to work everyday. I find I get very thirsty and my mouth is very dry. I know I don't drink enough water throughout the day and need to change that. I'm also finding that my skin gets dry where I work too.

Not much at all - if I get in one bottle I do but most days I don't. I drink too much coffee instead. What you suggested is a great idea, thanks!

How much do you regularly drink on the average in a day? That's something to worry about, I mean the symptom that you even reach to the point of having a very dry mouth and dry skin.
Maybe you should set a time in your cellphone or computer to remind you every hour to drink water, so that you would create a better habit of drinking water during the day.
Good luck!

I must admit that I used to be a bit dehydrated. As a result, my skin was frequently dry and I had to apply constantly.
But ever since I was employed with my current job as a financial analyst in a local bank, I was somewhat influenced by my officemates in the same division because they always had a bottle or glass of water on their desks. From then on, I made it a habit to always have my cup full of water on my work table.
As much as possible, I try to drink 5 to 6 glasses of water while I'm in the workplace, sort of a 'water therapy'; so that I could drink less amount of water at home. Along with this, I have noticed that my skin has improved and I no longer apply lotion or moisturizer as often as I used to.
Aside from fatigue which you have mentioned in your discussion, I believe that sleepiness is also an effect of being dehydrated, which might result to being less alert and less focused in your job or tasks at hand. I also am trying to steer clear of coffee because it gave me 'palpitations' lately.
Anyway, happy holidays and here's hoping for a blessed and healthy new year for all of us!

Yes; I do normally have lots of water in a day .I have so even in winters. However;there are some days when I do not have much water. I might be too busy doing somethings and forget about drinking plenty of water .

I know I don't drink enough water. My husband is always getting unto me to drink more water. I like water but I would rather have iced tea. I do drink some water throughout the day but I have to be really thirsty to drink it and it has to be good and cold.

You are so right. If I drink enough water while I am working, I truly feel that I perform better and feel less tired. If I don't drink enough water I get quite groggy and feel sleepy even if I have had enough sleep during the night! Water is like a miracle medicine! It also keeps headaches away which result from dehydration.

True, we all have the tendency to think that's we're hydrating ourselves enough when we drink other liquids like soda, iced tea, among others. But the truth is, though these 'substitutes' are also liquid, they have a great number of sugars in them, thus is not really good for the body.
There's nothing like water.

It is only in recent years that I realized the importance of drinking water. Actually I even did not eat much soup at meals. It is likely to result in health problems.
Now, I will have a glass of water after getting up, and before going to bed. I drink about eight glasses a day. When going out, I will take with me a sealed glass of water, which can be filled when necessary. In winter, I no more drink cold water, as it is no good for my throat and stomache.
Take care of youself starting from drinking water properly.

Hello! Our body is 50-75% water depending on age.The water in the body helps regulate and maintain body temperature.Water transports nutrients and oxygen and removes wast products and toxins. It moistens and lubricates our mouth, eyes, nose, hair, skin, joints and digestive tract. In the process we lose some water every moment and it has to be compensated adequately. For this we have to drink enough water in every hour.It therefore suggested that we must drink two to three liters of water daily to keep the body and mind clinically fit.If the body does not get enough water,we risk dehydration, elevated body temperature, decreased mental and physical performance and heat related illness. So I drink enough water throughout the day.thanx.

I agree! In studies, water was shown to be more invigorating than coffee! Caffeine will give you energy but you will crash once it wears off. Keeping yourself hydrated with water, however, will keep your energy level as high as it can be naturally.
I admit I'm guilty of not drinking enough water on occasion, but I normally have a glass of water near me to sip on, even if I'm drinking a soda (Coca Cola) or juice or something like that. Sometimes, only water will do!
I drink more of it during the summertime, of course, because I'm outside a lot doing gardening or fishing. I always take water outside with me instead of something with caffeine in it.
My mind may not be focused like a laser, but water helps it to be as good as it can get!
