Hello vanities. I did get my wallet stolen by a young man sitting next to me when I was waiting for a bus. I left my seat for about two minutes before I found it gone. My first reaction about this is angry and sad and reported to the police station about it, but in vain because it has never come back to me. It is so bad that all of my cards like bank cards, discount cards, ID card were all in it including some 1300 RMB. I was poor with the wallet stolen because all of my cash was in the wallet. I am much more careful now and I don't use a wallet any more because with a wallet I will put more money in it. Without it, I will only bring a little money with me that I intend to...

Never happened to me and I pray that it never would. I am really very extra careful with my things. I have friends who experienced being nabbed or their pockets picked but I never had experienced it because I am extra vigilant. I guess it comes out of habit.

Like you I always check as I go in. It's an habit although it never happened to me. Actually I don't even think it happened to anyone else I know. But for some reason I always tend to check just as a I go into a restaurant or any other place where I intend to spend some money.

Yes, this has happened to me also. But thankfully, I was saved by my friend, who was with me at that time.

Hello vanities,
Well, it is a very hard and embarrassing situation! I feel no worries if I am accompanied by someone else. But if I am alone, that would be quite a difficult situation Maybe what I should do if I realized that I lost my wallet or has not enough money with me, I will call my friend or family member, ask them to come and I will just sit there waiting for them. I don't love gold too. If not, maybe I should just tell the owner to take any of the jewelries - maybe the smallest one like a pair of my earrings

I usually go out to eat with someone so I always have someone to cover my back in case something like that happened, but I would be so embarrassed. I usually check to make sure that something like that would never happen. Like this Friday I went to Chili's with my boyfriend because my boss at school had given me a gift card for Christmas. To make sure that everything was okay I called the gift card number to check the balance before we left the house. Then when we got to Chili's I asked them to check the balance on the card again to make sure that it was fine and that they accepted the gift card. I would have hated to eat and then have a little surprise. So when it comes to stuff like this, I check and then double check again.

Mine happened not in a restaurant but in a grocery store. My oldest daughter was with me then, it is where we always shop for our needs. As we were in the counter and the cashier had punched in all the items that we took, i was shocked to see the total was not what as i have calculated. In short, the money we have then was not enough to pay for our groceries. Luckily, the grocery store was just 2 blocks away from our house so, to assured them that i will be coming back for the my grocery bags, i left my daughter with them and got home to get some more money. Good thing is she was such a good girl, she just sat there and waited for me. It was the dumbest thing i have ever done, now i make sure that i have enough money with me whenever i go out and i will never ever do that again.
