Hi MyLottians,
Picture this, when you go to a Megastore to shop for a new 47" LCD TV. You come across brands like Sony, Samsung, LG, Toshiba, Panasonic etc. But as there were too many choices, you asked for a 2nd opinion from the sales person, he immediately directed you to this average looking TCL or similar LCD TV and claims that this is the leading brand in LCD TVs at the fraction of the retail price of other brands. He kept promoting the the brand with lots of techniques...what you do not know is that they get a commission for every sale of TCL television but not for other brands. Therefore they are willing to twist the facts and introduce their customers to this TCL TV.
Lets not think about whether you will buy the story. But think about whether the way the sales person actions has been ethical? They are promoting the TV for the reward and not of the real quality it has to offer.
Consider this in the case of Ciao, do you think people are giving good ratings of reviews based on quality or rewards (mutual gains within the group ie you give me a positive rating and I'll do the same for ya). Would you ever trust Ciao and visit the site again?
