I just moved to the United Kingdom (England specifically) and I'm looking into the various cable companies. Does anyone have Sky tv? Do you like it? Any help would be appreciated. I've gone nearly 5 weeks without tv (except AFN which gets old real quick!) and I need to get something.

I would certainly recommnd Sky TV. We've used it for about 6 years and SKY also provides my braodband connection AND phone calls.
You can choose the level of contribution according to your needs, for example we don't bother with movies or sports.
There is a scheme where if you introduce a 'friend' to SKY you get £50 worth of store vouchers so if you ned a friend, message me

I'm not sure where you have come from, but you may be disappointed by the lack of choice.
Sky is great for sport. It also carries American movies and some US TV shows long before the mainstream channels. If your interests differ from those above, you would be better getting the Freesat service - a one-off payment, with access to plenty of channels.
Virgin Media only operate in certain cabled areas, which are few and far between, but is a cheap version of Sky.
My advice would be get a decent home entertainment system, and a load of DVDs!
