Do you drink water direct from the faucet or from the bottles? At the house we have a very good water and you can drink the water direct from the faucet without using any filters. But when i travel i normally bought a bottle of water for im not sure if drinking water elsewhere would be safe. I just could not believed that once you bought the water it in the container they became very expensive yet in fact water is suppose to be very chip. If you buy one do you prefer natural spring water or distilled water and why?

Hi Margatit, I filter the water that comes from our tap because a few years ago we received a water review from our town. It stated that our water was good for drinking, then I looked into it a little further and noticed the amounts of certain items that were considered standard amounts and acceptable. When I saw that there was 2% fecal matter in our drinking water, I did not hesitate and went to the store to get a filtering system. I also but bottled water also for drinking. I prefer the purified water since the spring water here in Pennsylvania tastes a little dirty. That is the best way to explain how the local spring water tastes. I always bring bottled water where ever I go too.

I drink spring water from the bottle, but recently people have been saying that not even spring water is healthy anymore . I do not trust tap water, but may use it to cook with at times, it all depends. As dor distilled water, I have only used that in my iron when I am ironing clothing, have not heard of anyone who drinks distilled water and as a matter of fact it sells with the products for cleaning in supermarkets where I live not with the other drinking water

I have been drinking from the faucet because I like to drink a lot of water and I cannot afford to buy that much water, but thinking about it I might consider boiling it. When I do buy it I like mineral water. Distilled water I only buy to put in my iron, I was not aware that you could drink it, surely not...

I don't drink water at all. If I absolutely have to it don't matter if it's from faucet or from store boughten as long as it has been in the fridge for a good couple of days. It has to be cold, cold!
Diet Mt. Dew is what I drink religiously. Yum, Yum!

I buy bottled water for our house. I cannot stand the taste of the faucet water. It has a nasty taste to it. I guess I can taste the chemicals in it or something. I don't know but it taste gross. I always buy the natural spring water for us.

In the Philippines, esp. in metro manila, we do drink distilled water. We usually buy it, instead of drinking directly from our faucets.
The emergence of distilled water has been basically due to the fact that water in urban areas tend to be contaminated.

I live in denver colorado. They say our water is one of the cleanest. There is so much negitive things coming out now about the bottles the water comes in. I used to buy it just for toting along when i go out. Now im wondering about the plastic thermos or the plastic containers for drinking that you can buy at the dollar stores. I bought some for my house so the grandkids dont spill everwhere when they come over. When i go to work i take a quart sz thermo with ice water. Tap water was fine for my grandma so its good enough for this grand ma too. If i take water with me its my thermo or one of my plastic containers.

Hi jdyrj777,
Wow, we are lucky enough to have a clean tap water where we dont have to worry about water burn deseases. I am also confident with the source of the water we have here so their is no problem for me if i drink directly fron the faucet. Thanks for the respond.

In my country it is not safe to drink water directly from the tap as the water is chlorinated. What is done is that the water is collected and put into a water filter and the filtered water is then boiled and then cooled naturally. After that we store this water in glass bottles out of which a couple are kept in the refrigerator and most others are kept outside at room temperature.I drink only water at room temp and the cold water is kept for any visitors who want to have it.We get natural spring or mineral water in the shops which are bottled but i don`t buy any of those.

I prefer drinking sterilized water because I believe it is the cleanest water ever bottled. When it comes to the water in the house we use filter because we want to make sure that it is clean before we drink it. When we travel of course it is always safe to drink from bottled water you buy than risking your safety in drinking fountains. When I go to my parents' provinces I always try to adjust to the water there because I can't bring a big container for a water that will last for four days to a week. That is the usual length of time that I stay there.

Hi there,
I drink bottled water or water from my filtration system in the refridgerator. Dasani by Coca Cola is the absolute best! Aquafina is another good brand of water.

I don't trust the water directly from my faucet so I drink bottled water. I have heard that numerous people within a few blocks have had cancer and I don't want to risk it. I believe it good be because there used to be a tractor supply and sales place that closed down years ago. I wonder if some of the stuff was left there and buried, causing pollution to the water.

We have a filter on our tap that also has the flavor dispenser on it as well. We put filtered water in bottles and put them in the fridge to drink later on.

I won't drink the water from the faucet because that is not very good. I usually boil it first. Well, of course, i drink the water direct from the bottles sailed in shop. For me, I will prefer to buy natural spring water. I think natural spring water has some mineral that we need, which distilled does not. But should we notice that if natural spring water really healthy? It is true that natural spring water contains minerals, but does it contain something that does a harm to our health and should the content be showed clearly?

I do take the water direct from water...but not directly drink it...Still my habit to boil it until the boiler will stop by itself. Asian countries are not recommendable to drink the water directly, but Singapore can be considered safe to drink direct from faucet with it's New Water but I never done it. I still find lots germ inside. And when a colleague bought a filter Diamond water, I realized the filter has became darker brown and need to change to the new one...I feel after I see it, I will swear to myself not to drink before boiling if those came from faucet. But if I'm travelling I do not mind whether it distilled or spring water. Each type has pro and con of ingredients of chemical inside the water which is good to consume for our body. But most I bought is distilled one...because Its recycle...eco water to save the earth
