Banning gay marriage is not going to make the gay people go away. I think that not only should it not be banned it should be at the federal level a right that is granted.

I am not a citizen of USA I will not be able to tell you that but I think it can be made legal it all depends on how the society views it

Absolutely not. In the first place the US follows a federal system of government. Every state should be able to say whether they allow gay marriage or not.

No. I think that consenting adults have a right to marry whoever they wish. I refuse to get bent out of shape over a union that doesn't involve me. I think a person should be with whoever makes them happy whether it be a man, a woman, a White or a Black.

Things like this in my own opinion doesnt deserve a second thought. It is unbelieveable that things like gayist should exist. How do they find it. It should be banned and be banned over and over again! It is abominable before God. Why did God in the first place create woman. Why did he not just leave the man as he originally created him? God bless America!

For one, I would like to state that it is not an abomination before God. Nowhere in the Bible (a book written by man that has been translated into many different languages and altered millions of times) is homosexuality condemned at all. Though there is a passage dealing with not judging others. Two, there are plenty homosexuals who are very religious. Jesus never preached hate, only acceptance and love. 1.Love God. 2. Love thy neighbor. Two most important rules to always live by. There's no reason gay marriage should be banned. America is supposed to be a country based on the principles of freedom and equality for all, not some.

Definitely YES! Gays are still men. Whether they like it or not, they are born to be a man and they should live the way God have created them. If they want respect from others, they should respect themselves first. Start to be a man.

so let me get this right..you're saying Gay people are only men? that right? Also, can you add more conviction to your statement instead of claiming your "God" said so. Geez, my mommy told me so, Oprah told me so, the damn ketchup bottle label told me so! Prejudices, it is well known, are most difficult to eradicate from the heart whose soil has never been loosened or fertilized by education; they grow there, firm as weeds among rocks. Understand?

I persoanlly dont think anyone should have the right to say who anyone can be with..Its not like anyone is getting hurt..let them be happy and get married if thats what they need..this is the USA..the FREEDOM country..althoug with Bush im losing hope...just let them be happy..

I am so sick of that argument. We're not talking about beastiality, we are talking about a person being able to marry the adult of his or her choosing. As a heterosexual, you have that right and I have that right. Homosexuals should have that right also.

If being gay is okay, can I have 2 wives? Or can I marry my sister? I want to know if that is okay too? I am not bashing or judging anyone... I am just wondering what you think?

Well, polygamy is more complicated, but yes, I think it should be legalized. Incest, on the other hand, is a bad idea for a number of reasons -- and as far as I know, there aren't a contingent brother-sister couples who are going to be demanding their marriage rights as soon as people get used to gay couples. That portion of the slippery slope is purely rhetorical.

Gays are not asking for special treatment, just equal rights. Heterosexuals are not allowed pologamy and homosexuals are not asking for that either. They are simply asking to be treated the same as their heterosexual counterparts. So go tell Jerry Fallwell you got your answer.

I dont think that US should ban gay marriages. But there should be no Gay divorce. Because by getting married they are inspiring more people to be gay so later if they feel that they want to separate then US should punish them

Being gay is a sin, so is divorce. Divorce is a sin when neither one has commited adultry, but once divorce adultry is commited when one or both remarry. But in your responce the gays should be punished if they get divorced, shouldn't every one be punished for divorcing another person. Anyway there should not be any gay marriage period.

Why is everyone treating this like its a "Rights" thing. You guys are acting like question was whether people could be gay or not. It was about gay "rights" and more specifically the "right" to get married to their partner. Don't make it seem like they are fighting to get voting rights or to be safe in the street or own property. its just because of property rights attached to the title of marriage.

its not good to ban the gay marriage because no one people want to be gay or lesbian its so very hard to us or to me to change my felling and i am happy to the gay marriage why not respect the other gender where they happy

Get rid of all state regulated marriages. Give everyone civil unions, and let the churches handle the rest.
