In case you don't know, they are Jehovah's Witnesses. They believe that holidays and birthdays are pagan rituals, not to be celebrated. They cling to each other and their "truth" family, and will turn their backs on a mother or father, child or sibling to be behind Jehovah.
They don't believe in blood transfusions, so if your child were on her death bed and needed a blood transfusion to live, they would refuse it....does that make sense?
Some say, they are a cult....how do you feel? Do you know anything about their religion because they believe they know the truth and if you don't then your chances of living in peace on earth are slim.

While Jehovah's Witnesses refuse blood transfusions primarily because the Bible says to abstain from blood, (Acts 15:29) there is plenty of medical facts that support the wisdom of this stand. Blood transfusions have the potential to carry diseases like AIDS, Hepatitis and malaria. Blood transfusions can also cause bacterial and viral infections, transfusion reactions and RH sensitivity. There are many safer substances that can be used as volume expanders and it is the loss of volume that causes the threat to life, not the blood itself.
Many doctors and surgeon are now realizing that patients recover faster from surgeries where blood transfusions have been declined. And surgeons that are doing an operation where they know that they will not be using blood take more care and do a better job. Canadian Anaesthetists' Society Journal (January 2005, p 12); American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology (June 1, 1968, p. 395)
When your doctor says you will die without a blood transfusion, ask him if he will guarantee that you will live if you take a blood transfusion.

There's a Kingdom hall down the street from where I live. They also go door to door. They don't participate in wars or politics. They are always nicely dressed. They seem to be happy people.
