do you get irritated with all the organizations,"groups",and government influences in your personal life? abortion issues, how to discipline kids, prayer in school, smoking, assisted suicide, even public Christmas displays. I am so tired of hearing peoples opinions of what other people should or shouldn't do in their own personal lives.ones views and opinions should be heard and taken in to consideration when making a decision in your personal life but treated as advice and the people giving it need to leave it at that instead of petitioning, rallying, and pushing ideas on you (to convince you they are right) life is what WE make it based on decisions WE make.so if the "lady down the street" , dying of cancer wants to smoke pot so she has an appetite, and will eat after her chemo treatment. I say ok. she then finds out shes pregnant and wants to have an abortion. I say ok. she pulls her kid out of public school because he can't pray for her there. I say ok. her son tells me that medicine no longer has any affect on the pain and he can't cope her moans of saying she can't go on any longer dealing with the pain and suffering, and he wants to help her with suicide I say OK. these are not decisions I have to make and they really don't affect me.how can I condemn either of them for making any decisions they make of their PERSONEL LIFE. If I piss anyone off by saying this.......well keep in mind that it is, what I believe.

Hi rick_d..I do get annoyed with the influences into my personal life. I don't so much mind the public displays of opinion as much as do the laws that define what I can and cannot do where it doesn't hurt anyone and pretty much just effects me. I don't believe in judging someone because of a decision that they've had to make where their life is concerned as I don't want to be for my own choices. We never truely know until we've been in their shoes and they won't until they've been in mine.

Well, the people around need our encouragement or comfort, and if we cant find a place in us to give that, I think is better to allow them do the things they want to do, but if we are really concern about their situation we will render some help, or at least a good advise that can lift them up and most importantly pray for them.

Good for you. Yup we all have to make our own decisions and no one else should be able to tell us what to do. Lived my life like that always , Now if I am asked for my opinion on what I would do I give it and they can take it or leave it. As most do any how

I agree. If I ASK for advice I will listen and think about it but I will not necessarily do what you say. Unsolicited advice whether from friends, family or government just pisses me off. It is MY life and MY personal business so if I haven't asked then butt out!

I agree with you 100%. nobody has the right to tell anyone else how to live thier lives. advice is one thing but interfering is another!

Nice rant rick. We all need to do that sometimes. We are of course all only responsible for our own decisions. Some people seem to think that they are more qualified to make decisions than others but that to is only their opinion. I believe they have the right to try to convince others of the rightness of their opinions but in the end each person must make their own choices.
