What's your favorite age?

What age do you think is the best for kids? Which age do you cherish the most? I personally love the toddler stage. Sure the temper tantrums are a bit frustrating, but this age is full of amazing wonders. My son is 2 and a half, and everyday he's learning something new, and it's always so spectacular to him. I'm always suprised by a new word he has learned. He's reaching that age where he's not a baby anymore, and he's acting like a big boy, but he's still so small. It's so cute to see him do the things his big brothers and sister do. Plus this is the first year he's truly aware of everything going on around him. This is the first year he knows who Santa is, and isn't afraid of him. He's also aware of the lights he sees on people's houses when we're driving aroud at night. I hear him sitting right behind me saying "ooh, pretty" everytime we pass a house all lit up. I can't wait to see the look on his face when he opens his presents Christmas morning. I just know I'm going to get the most joy out of watching him open his presents, more than any of the other kids. The older kids understand more, and it's more expected of them to understand, so it's not as magical for them, in my eyes. And the baby, although he's at a good age too where he's just learning to walk and talk, well he's rather oblivious to most of the things around him still. So my favorite age is the toddler years.

My favorite is the toddler years too. I love where my son is at right now. He is 17 months old. He is a smart cookie. You can tell him things and he understands you. He tries to say some words but most don't sound anything like what he's trying to say. He is fun too, he loves to chase his sister and rough around with his daddy. I love watching him figure new things out also. Then they start to talk and it all goes down hill from there! lol.

It's not so much the talking, but the fact that they know better. That's what frustrates me about my older children. They do stupid things on a daily basis, and they know they shouldn't have. The babies I can forgive, because they don't know any better yet, but the older kids should know better than to hit each other or scream in the house, etc, but they do it anyways. I know it's typical kid stuff, but I still expect them to behave better than that, and I get frustrated when they don't.

My favorite age is less than one year old. Though he can't call "mom and dad" and can not walk I still feel happy. I'm happy when he smiles at me. I'm happy when he burble. The most happiest time for me is suckling when no communicating but better than communicating. This feeling will never come again.

The toddler stage is great. My daughter is going to be 2 at the end of January. She is spitting out new words every day and learning new things every day. The toddler stage is probably my favorite.

I always enjoyed the toddler years with my own children and now am enjoying them allover again with my twin grands. There is such a speech explosion at this age - new words every day - and most of them amusing! I wil also look forward to seeing them open their gifts. I also like the age of four. By four they understand so much and they do not have melt downs. They are happy and so willing and yet still cuddly. Ther's something to be said for all ages, I guess. Have a wonderful Christmas with your family. Blessings

Currently I do not have any child. Well was planning t get marry next year and start a family. Anyway, I think I like kid at the age of 2 years old and above. This way, I can start to communicate with him/her. When babies at the age below 1 years old, I think I will give up whenever the baby cries. If I speak baby's language, i will not be afraid but whenever they cry, I just wonder what they wanted and become frustrated. Well, wish me luck next year entering parent hood.

It is hard to decide what age I love the most because all of my children differ so much at the levels the grew. I tend to agree with you, the toddler age is full of suprise and amazment for children. As parents it is sowonderful to see a child learn something for the first time right in front of our eyes. I love all the questions and the small meaningfull conversations I have when my children are and have been in the toddler stage. The stories they tell and the hugs and kisses are just as sweet as they can be. It makes you cherrish every moment good and bad.

Hmm.. None yet. and I'm 21. I have to say that most people enjoy their teenage, but it was not the best for me. I enjoyed as much as I could, but not really did ht I would have liked to do. As a kid, I had nothing much to cherish about expect my parents being around. They were the best. And although I have had small chances of happiness thrown my way, I have enjoyed as much as I could even in the times of my sadness.. bourne

Its hard to say. I loved the first everything stages. Then again i love the toddler stage. When he was three months. He would sit there and laugh at the darnest things. It was priceless. Now he is a toddler who is as cute as it gets. He keeps me on my toes. I can say what age is the best. I enjoy it all.

I think my favourite stage is when at that time my understanding started to develop ,means on child hood we don't have any control on our thought and activity but after that we starting to understand the world most of thing that stage I think its the most valuable stage for me,,,

My favourite age for my child is right now..He's 2 and really a cherub..!! Everyday he comes up something soooo new and highly frustrating for me sometimes to keep up to his demands...but then its fun at the end of it.. Its like living life all over again. I never thought that being a mother could be such a joyus feeling..its really great..I know im a little too attached and possessive of my kid, but then I think I deserve the happiness as a mother..No?..:) Im also really surprises everytime he's coming up with a new word..he learnt to say papa first and not mama so I was reallllly jealous..!!

Mostly i like those tots who are just starting to learn how to stand by themselves. It is a quick passing stage where we still have the chance to catch, hold, carry and hug them. As they grow and began to walk without any support, it will be the time they start their exploration and the time for us to start begging for a kiss from them as well.

The stage I like best is when they have just started walking. It is so gorgeous how they totter forward, little arms outstretched. They also are normally forming simple sentences and come up with the cutest sayings! It's such a pity that most of us can't remember when we were this age!
