Does eating chocolates help in studying?

When I was still in school, somebody told me that eating chocolates while studying helps you understand what you're studying more easily. I actually tried it but I'm not really sure if it indeed helped me in studying. It did help in adding extra pounds to my weight. Does anybody else do this when studying and does it really work?

I don't know about chocolate helping you study, other than munching on something helps me stay awake . I did, however, read that caffeine and nicotine have been proven to increase creativity....which explains the cliche of writers smoking and drinking coffee by the 12-cup pot. And chocolate has caffeine in it, so maybe that's where this came from. *shrug*

Yeah, it works for me when I was still studying. Actually chocolate really enhances our mind, since it is made of sugar.
As we all know that sugar is also a source of energy. Sugary foods provide lots of energy in a form that our bodies can quickly use. It is also good for our mind.
You could also try chocolate milk and nuts. Here in our place, we have this chocolate drink called Ovaltine which I think also improves my ability to comprehend what I read and study. :-)
