What do u think about this issue? I feel he shouldn't be hanged, atleast for the sake of the Iraq people's peace in future..
Hanging Sadham will only increase the tension in Iraq. No justice is needed at the cost of the lives of innnocent people..

Yes he should be hanged. Like any Murderer, he should die for his crimes. Especially his crimes! His mass killings of his own people should get him punished. And I'm sorry, it's a joke by letting him live in prison for life. The taxpayers are paying for the rest of his life. And, what kind of example will it give? Yes, you can do mass genocide to your own people, but we'll let you live anyways. That is a bad precedence.

There is no doubt that Sadham killed a lot of his own innocent people.. but jus like Autumn said, this is not the right time to do it. It'll make the situation even more worser..
We should also remember that Sadhaam was a close friend of America before a decade.. And its the America who splits the western countries in this issue..

Don't you worry about what kind of precedence one make by letting a murderer live? You're not concerned that that will lead others like him to do the same thing? Also, when would be a good time? This should have been done after the gulf war after he invaded Kuwait? They probably didn't think it was "the right time" then.

When he was convicted, they braced for riots. All they had were a few peaceful demonstrations.
The guy killed his own people, they won't miss him.

Yes, you are right. Hanging saddam will only increase tension in Iraq and some other countries.
And also what is there if he is just hanged. He should be life imprisoned and every moment he shoul feel sorry for what all he has done.

I doubt spending all that time in prison will make him feel bad. If anything he'll probably be laughing that he actually got away with all he did. In prison he gets guaranteed meals, roof over his head, and a place to sleep. All on being paid by taxpayers.

America is the culprit in all problem; They have failed to find WMDs from Iraq on basis of which they invaded Iraq and actual deserving person to be hanged is BW Bush

No, Saddam made his own bed now he has to pay for it. Yes, no WMD's was found, but he needed to be taken out. What he was doing to his own people was horrendous. Torture and murder was his thing.

What? I never said I was a supporter of terrorism? I'm confused. I think Saddam needs to be punished so I'm a terrorist? No.

America is only against Terrorism. You seem to be a supporter of Terrorism.Bush is a gentle man.Dont you want somebody to oppose the cruel terrorism which is catching up every where by some misled people? In India also terorists attacked their parliment. No one wants to punish the culprit. where this world is heading to?

So, he should be allowed to live, but not all those thousands who he had killed? Not logical to me.

I have no love for Saddam or his evil doingd, But I think we take a major step backward in evolution whenever we as simple humans employ capital punishment. It's just admitting that we know nothing of mercy or being superior to the criminals. I HATE knowing that another being is going to die, I hate people who call themselves pious because they murder.
