Do you volunteer in your community? If so, what do you do? After the first of the year, I am going to start to volunteer and I have a few places in mind, but am curious to see where you volunteer...

Hello, mindym. I do not volunteer in anything here in my community. In fact, I do not see many projects, so there is no way I can volunteer for something. I'm sure there must be somewhere I can go, but I have no clue about where. Therefore, I cannot volunteer. There is no way, not enough information for the citizens to help their own city. This just sucks, doesn't it? I wish I could do some volunteering job somewhere, but all I can see is religious volunteering, in which you can make a part of a religion and help them building the Church, or painting, or by playing instruments in there. But this is completely based on your religious belief, so I am not going to help in this way. Respectfully, Munhozmib.

I really should make a web search to find out about places in which I can help by volunteering. Brazil's a big Country, so I should search with the name of my city.

Thanks for your response! I know here in the USA there are websites we can go to find volunteer opportunities. Try doing a search for volunteer opportunities in ___________ (place you live). Good Luck!

i have volunteered in many communities . but none have really worked me. the most of the small communities around my native place have only the motive to earn money. i wanted to help others by volunteering.

Thanks for your response! I understand that volunteering does not work out with everyone and am sorry that it has not worked out for you.

I volunteer with a Relay for life team that raises money for the American Cancer Society. My best friend's sister is a cancer survivor. She is only 23 years old. I have become close with their family and when I found out they had a team and did stuff to raise money I wanted to help. We did a fundraiser for thanksgiving selling pumpkin rolls. We baked 150 pumpkin rolls. It will be awhile before I want to see another pumpkin roll lol but it felt good to be helping out.
