Staying logged on to MyLot - did a search - no answers

Seems this went around while back, but I've done a search in the search box above, and clicked MyLot and nothing came up on it so I ask...
Normally, I log into mylot in the morning and then just leave it open throughout the day for when I could get back to it and not log off until night shut down. Now, everytime I X out of the site (not log off, just click the X up there to close the screen, not the site) , it logs me off and I have to log back on everytime.
Seems there was a way to fix that... a setting or something. And since it was like that for some time and just last few days it has started happening again - -- how do I fix this to allow me to stay logged in until I specifically log out? Thanks!

I haven't had that problem so I checked my profile to see if there was a way to keep it logged on from there. I didn't find anything there that was a way to set it. I actually can't remember when or if I logged on. I get to mylot by following the link in my email every time so that may be how I am getting around it.
You could just minimize the window instead of closing the window. That way it would not log you off.

NO where says to "stay logged in". and I did the log out and log in at the end of the bar there and still, nothing. Still have to log in every time. No answer from MyLot either

I have always found IE to be unreliable. I am using firefox and it remembers me. At the top of the page on the left is your ID then several links. They should be, in this order, 'new discussion' 'profile' '$0.00' 'preferences' 'logout'. If that last one says anything different than logout that may explain the problem.

I am guessing you are use are using some version of a pc with MS windows. If you are not not using FireFox you might try it. It offers to save passwords for some sights (you may agree or not) and I use that for non critical sites on my home computer that no one else uses, so even if I get logged off it brings me right back and I can start posting again right away.

I have always used IE. Never had the problem except when I first started MyLot. Then something figured it out and since then I have not had the problem. I log in in the AM and whether off or on during the day, I stay logged in until I log out at night when I shut down. I don't bother to save passwords as I don't have a problem logging in each day, just not constantly all day long!

Yeah, kind of a shame to get so additcted to the "easy life" and not have to log in all the time! SPoiled, I guess is more the term! Still can't get it fixed tho! Thanks for the suggestion!

I don't know of any special settings but I've been logged in for a couple of months now...on two computers. When I still had my job I stayed logged on on that one too. Even after turning the computers off. I'll be watching the responses you get though because, if there is a trick to it, and I start having the same problem you're having, I want to know how to fix it, too!

I did the same thing - for months now. And now suddenly this is happening. Sure is annoying! It is almost like it only stays logged on for a short time without activity and then loggs itself off. Hope someone has the answer!

I dont know of any settings that would cause this. I stayed logged on all the time. I don't even know if I remember my user name and password. LOL! I have been logged on for 4mths or more.

That's what I can't figure out.. I was always logged in to unless I actually logged out myself which I would do every night and shut down. But would be logged in all day so I could come and go whenever. Now, it logs me out after time not active. Annoying!

That's weird, my computer doesn't log me out when I close the box. I just close out of my window and reopen the window and type the url mylot.com and it still has me logged in. Even when I first opened an account months ago, but never used it, when I came back about a week ago I was still logged in and didn't have to log in or type a password or anything. It might be a cookie in my firefox though, so I'm not sure.
