The other day, I had just discovered one of my colleagues hadn't done something which I had assumed that would be or could be done one way only- I will tell you the situation. A lot of relevant information is given in one shot by an Engineer through a clearly titled Tabular form whereas, someone else had given it in the form of an Email written in several paragraphs! No one ever had bothered even to think of creating a Table, and getting the relevant details filled up by the respective dealing Engineers. Now while I was internally fuming that very experienced people had to be told this, and my experienced officer was sitting in front of me and I was trying to "breathe-exercise my anger down" so that I am not seen to be angry, another person was sitting in front of me expecting to be heard for a personal problem. I was in a really really tricky situation. Perhaps seeing me making efforts to appear cool my other friend excused himself to leave. I was quite relieved at this. How often do you come into such situations?

I don't get angry but I do get very aggravated at times. I work with a few that just do not care about their job. They very well know their resposiblities but choose not to do them if they can get away with it. I am bad to want to finish things but I have learned if I jump in to help..they will stand back and just let me do it. I have had to really adjust to not jumping in and just reminding them of their duties..it is a pain.

Again a deja vu situation. In the interest of getting the job through in time you run the extra mile, "they"[the ecapists/buck-passers) will be only glad to see you run, promptly announcing to the world that the job was done- by "us".

It takes a lot to get me angry, I am usualy a pretty well tempered person. The only time I ever really get angry at work is when I have to tell my employees several times to get something done or when they violate one of the rules I have to yell at them.

One very frustrating thing is when you have to tell clearly what they ought to know and perhaps do know but would not volunteer to do. It is the same case with reminders,on routine jobs, to do their job. In this sense I am a bit lucky in that as for when it is clear on what is to be done our people take the necessary initiative. It is only when I have to get them to do something different from what they are willing to accept, that I get into trouble, er I mean, I get angry( which as of now is less- I had more occasion to get angry in my previous position, where I had to deal with unionised workers.). You might wonder what could be there where doing something different is a possibility. If I start giving examples it would take quite a space. I would do it if you feel the need.

I have encountered this many times in my office, especially recently with a new joiner. I've brief her everything clearly, and I even wrote a email step-by-step telling her what to do, as I was leaving the office for a few days. A few times, after I was back to office, she has almost nothing done. Well, what can I do? She always has excuses.
Actually many times in my office I encountered this kind of problems. I keep asking and asking, but some people just like to delay or they just ignore, until the last minute.
Perhaps I've got used to it, or I am not easily angry with others, especially co-workers. I'll just keep asking, or bring up the important issues, until I got the work done by them. ^_^
This is real life, so we can't expect everyone to be perfect, I guess.

Am not type person easy to get angry, am just not like if my collage ask me doing something when time for work is will finis. We working start 9:00 - 18:00 and she give to me new work in 15:45, and than said that work is deadline for 8:00 tomorrow morning. That same think she ask me to finis that work right now, right?, for finis that work am not get overtime, this is crazy. As employee i do my best but as compensation i want come late to the office is depend what time am fast and what time am going home. So when am finis that work 7:00 morning and am already send that work to her email am going home so that mean i have right come to office after lunch (cos i need time for sleep) But when am come to office my HR ask me to meet her in meeting room and her start asking me why am come so late to the office, and am start to explain to her.... can you believed what she said? she said we not have policy like that for employee i must come to office in right time i can come late like this day. Am really shock front her, and i give the best my argumentation but she insist what am doing is wrong and that is my first warning.

It is really sad. They make you work for long hours beyond your legal hours. Then there is NO overtime payment! Nor is there a compensation in the form of permitted-late coming! Now, this is outrageous. Is there nothing like trade unions in your country who could negotiate an equitable work-pay system? It is quite surprising. I have heard in some countries like Korea, Vietnam etc there are long working hours and though the pay is not very high there is some sort of overtime payment. This sort of exploitation happens because of widespread poverty making labor pretty cheap.Availability of Labor that is cheap and dispensable makes such things possible.
