There is two things that you can not do at the same time, MyLott and cook. I wanted something sweet so I went and fixed a batch of cookies to bake. I put then in the oven and come back and got on the computer, went and checked them one time they were not ready, come back and did a little more MyLotting, well I stayed on MyLot a little to long this time now my cookies are burned, well I am going to try to eat around the burn part. I really want my cookies. Can You MyLot and cook at the same time? Have you ever burned your food while MyLotting?

I can't say that I have burned any food while mylotting but almost burned a pot the other night. I had made chicken and dumplings and some stuck on the bottom of my big pot so I put water and a little bit of dish soap in it and put it on the stove to loosen it up. Well, my husband and I were in the living room watching TV plus I was on my laptop and our son was in his room. Don't ask me why but my husband and I at the same time said "uh oh" and he jumped up and went to the kitchen. The pot still had some water in it but not much.

I have done that too. When I have a burned pot I put a little vinegar in the water and let it boil.

I can't do much of anything while mylotting. Except take care of my kids. If I have to do something for myself, it gets put on the back burner to mylot usually. Im addicted.

.... if you are mylotting , so just do it , and you cook sth , yoo , it's unsafe you know alright ! maybe you can get nothing .... do not always think about the food , just one thing and you can do it better , because your mind can only on thing , do not do like that , you can do that after lotting, or watch TV , to choose some lazy things to do and with your cakes , your cakes can be very wonderful and your lotting never lose ``

I burnt food once while being on mylot. I completely forgot about it until the smoke alarm went off. I ran out and realized that I left my fries in the oven, and they were black, pitch black, no saving them. Uuuhh...oh well i just made some new ones. Hopefully the next batch of cookies turns out for you.

Hey chevee! Yes I sure have! I have tried to cook while mylotting and have also burned my food! It is just too distracting! I have done it more than once! So I have learned to stay away from the computer when I am cooking! I have been able to bake while I am mylotting as long as I keep telling myself that there is something in the oven! I am not that far away from the oven! It is about 1 1/2 feet away from me! I should be able to realize by the warmth and the smell that there is something baking! So there is no excuse for me to burn anymore cakes!

That is so funny. While sitting here reading your discussion I realized I had some eggs boiling on the stove that I forgot about LOL. Thanks for the reminder LOL I have done the same thing as you before. I don't remember what it was but I do remember burning something. Have a good lotting day - and don't burn down the house LOL LOL

i have experienced this before. i'm mylotting while frying chicken for our dinner, i didn't notice that i stayed long in front of the computer and smell something burning in the kitchen. then i went back to the kitchen there's smoke everywhere, i immediately turn off the stove and the chicken turned black all over. after that incident i never do mylotting and cooking all at the same time. warning it's dangerous.

I didn't do mylotting and cooking at the same time. As my computer is usually at upstairs, whereas my kitchen is downstairs, I don't think I'll be fast or comfortable enough to run up and down. Also, I usually turn on the gas cooker to cook, so it's really unsafe if I'm not around in the kitchen.

Yes, I have burned things before. That is why I always set a timer and set it next to me at the computer now. That way I can't burn things. I try to get up about a minute before the timer goes off if it is something like cookies that can burn quickly after the right amount of time.
