doberman or rottweiler?

i am going to be starting a farm house and i would defniately need a couple of gaurd dogs for myself.... i had decided on taking rottweilers but i recently went to a dog show and one of my very good friends had gotten a doberman to the show..... he was beautiful...... and then we started debating about whether i should buy a doberman or a rottweiler cos now i am totally confused...... some say that rotts are not trust worthy and some say that doberman too isnt trust worthy...... there is a person who got terribly bit by his own rott one night and he finally bled to death....everytime i think of a rott i think of this story and shudder..... but there was also one person (my dad's friend) who got bitten by his own doberman.... now i really dont know what to think.... is it cos the people dint give them the required or proper training or is it cos there was something wrong in the up bringing of the dog that it finally led to hatred ? please help me as these are the only two breeds which arent all that expensive .....
