What does being sympathetic means to you?
To me, it isn't just about feeling sorry for someone caught in a bad situation. But rather understanding from the bottom of my heart that nothing is impossible. I don't have to have gone through a similar experience to express understanding, that would be show empathy.
This stemmed from a post I just came across by accident. A bunch of people laughing at a situation they never heard of, but the person caught in that situation happens to think it isn't funny at all. What I don't get is, why would anyone think something is impossible, and even funny, just because they never come across it or seen or heard it?
