Not like the world has stopped evolving during the good times, but you can't deny that recently the tons of bad news just snow you under if you are not careful. I wake up everyday and read nothing but bad news page after page.
One day I told myself enough is enough, I don't want to know anymore. So since then I stopped reading the news. If I am real bored I may try reading the comics but that is about it.
How about you? Are your reading habits affected recently?

NO, i am a regular newspaper reader. It is not true that newspapers are now only filled with bad news. It is just our way of thinking.

Very true, bad news is part of life. But accepting this fact doesn't mean I can take it positively. To stop my own dark thoughts from forming, I choose to avoid it. Just my little way of not adding to negativity the world is going through now.
Thank you for replying!

I actually stopped reading some time back. but now i read the news regularly again.
i accept that there are lots of bad and negative news in the papers. i as a student stopped reading it for a long time as i believed that these negative forces will kindle negative thoughts and violent thoughts in our mindset and attitude.
now that i am going to office i read the newspapers in the morning. even now i leave the bad news. i am more focussed to see something interesting happening. something positive happening.

well, what you said is ture, and there is no doubt for that: this world is full of bad news, and we are surrounded by them.
HOWEVER, I do not and will not quit newspaper for this reason. for me, except internet, the newspaper is a main way for me to get touch with the world, and it is a main method for me to know more about the world.
we can not only expect good news, that is not practical.
how do you think about it?
A NICE DAY!!
