What do you think of TV?

As we all know, TV has become essential part in our lives. It presents a vivid world in front us. For example, TV can keep us informed of what is happening throughout the world. And it brings us various forms of entertainmnts such as sports competitions, concerts and so on.
But TV has some bad aspects for us. Such as it is bad for our eyes, and there are a lot of violent programs on it and sometimes it seems to waste of our time.
So what do you think of TV? Do you want to have a TV in your family? Do you wath TV often?

Welcome to MyLot! I hope you love this site as much as I do, it really grows on you!
We have two tv's in our house, my husband and daughter watch quite a bit. Thankfully, they watch mostly good things like history and science-type programs.
I don't think tv is too much of a waste of time if you are selective of what you choose to watch.
Personally, I don't watch it much. I prefer to either be on the computer either at a site like MyLot, playing online games, or browsing recipe sites.

Yes, I agree with you. TV is too much of a waste of time for us. I don't mind that if I have a TV or not, because now I ofter use my computer to go online, it's very good! Maybe nowadays more and more people usually feel that they don't need to have a TV.

With more and more tv shows (and movies) available online, makes you wonder if tv's will become obsolete in the future. I read the other day that computers may become obsolete with more people accessing the web thru their cell phones. Personally, I can't see that, but could easily see tv's going the way of the dinosaurs.

Yor are right. Maybe TV is bad for us, but sometimes there is some good programs on TV.
