I am for the most part happy with the election results. However, as was stated by another person there were people I didn't want to get re-elected, however, all one can do is vote and hope their side wins. The one thing that I was really hoping for was a new governor for our state, MN. It seems as though during the last four years the state has gone to the dogs. I can't believe that our current governor was actually responsible for shutting down the government because of his complete mismanagement of his money. Also, I don't think the "fees" that have been put into place are fooling anyone.

Not really. Electing Democrats to Congress sent a message. But, it also is going to create political deadlock because partisan politics will take over in anticipation of a presidential election.
And, here in Wisconsin, an amendment banning gay marriage was passed. Which, I believe is blatant discrimination. Convicted murders can get married in this state but not law-abiding couples who just happen to be gay and are doing nothing to harm anyone. People have their values wrong.

Being Canadian,I wonder how the shift change is going to affect relationship between our countries. Is anyone ever happy with the results when less than 40 % of the people vote and 50 % of them voted for the winner?
