Ok, I have finally come to the stage where I am throwing caution to the wind and actually going to give driving a shot. Easy, isn't it? You think! I cannot decide if I would like to learn how to drive both kind of vehicles or just stick to auto. (Hey, what are the chances of me driving a manual car in this time and age, right?) I know for sure a) I have bad hand, eye, brain and leg coordination, b) I don't have money to spare and c) I am a bad loser. So the obvious choice is auto, right? But my friend has to guilt-trip me just because he is a driver How difficult can driving a manual car be? I will be disappointed in you if you just take auto lessons Geesh, that stings. Then there is this company vehicle which happens to be a manual van. All my collegues can drive it and I won't be able to if I don't have a manual licence. But I see my choice leaning more and more towards auto. What do you think? What would be your advice?

I prefer manual cars but it's up to you. Automatic cars are more comfortable but are slower and waste more gas. And if you know how to drive a manual, then a auto will be a piece of cake. Just remember to only start the engine with the gear on neutral and when you stop, turn off the engine and instead of park put on 1st gear or reverse

Maybe you could have a trial lesson in both to help you decide. Here in the UK, if you pass your test in an automatic you cant drive a manual but, if you pass in a manual, you can drive either. When you're learning, you probably go through every stage of a manouevre in your head each time but after a while, you just do it. Go for whichever you feel will get you mobile soonest and safest. Good luck whichever you choose.

If I would need to choose between two cars: one MANUAL and other one AUTOMATIC, I might choose a Manual one. Because I have heard that those with AUTO tend to brake it costs a lot to fix it. A Manual is more popular, it consumes less gasoline, and it makes You a better car driver! Have You seen how Paris tried to drive a Manual car since all she had driven before was only Automatic? Decide! Quickly!
