Could you describe your religion by using a single word?

Although it might seem simple, it is a very difficult question. Think at a single word that describes your religion, then try to explain your choice. To be honest I'm still thinking at my own answer.

The only word that I can use to describe religion is "destroyer".... My faith however has a lot of words that it could be described by, as does God. I couldn't think of just one.

All religions divide and destroy, if not to people particularly, to groups of people. Whether it be groups of people inside the religion itself or groups of people of different religions. It is faith, peace, and justice that is what builds.

A single word was requested. My choice was "illusion" because religion is all about the illusion labelled as faith. The fundamental values common to virtually all great religions are NOT an illusion, but the proprietary nature of religion often loses its values in the quest to prove that a particular doctrine is the one and only true faith. If we could simply implement the values and not get drawn into the competition to prove that one religion is better than another, we would all be better off.

unbeliever = Agnostic. and here is why, i was never raised in a very religious home. my parents never tried to push their religions on me, as they think that its against gods will. As i grew up, I thought it pretty absurd to believe in a man that sits on a cloud, watching over us all day. In middle school, the question (If god can do anything, can he make a rock so big, that he can't pick it up?) came around and really opened my eyes. Religion, IN MY OPINION, (i dont want any hate mail), is a crutch for making dying easier. If you live believing that we all die and go to a better place with our loved ones and etc, then it makes the thought of dying easier to deal with. But in my opinion, i believe dying is like it was before we were born. Besides, how do we know if Jesus himself, was another David Koresh?

sorry for the delayed explanation.... I'm a catholic basically a christian faith..... For my personal views I myself a religion.... I "TRUST" the true temple of the Almighty God is in me..... And I truly TRUST in the Almighty God and I TRUST in Lord Jesus Christ because "He is the way, the truth and the life. No one can comes to the Almighty God except through Jesus Christ"....... So the Temple of the Almighty God is in me and I truly TRUST and I myself a religion..... The "T" in "TRUST" is the Temple of the Almighty God.... If there is no "T" or the "Temple" it will lead or left into "Rust".... so if the temple within me or the religion within me are all "RUSTed" I will not see the truth, the way and the life....

Humanity = Hinduism. There is no word/phrase/verse in Hindu Scriptures which differentiates people on the basis of Religion. There are no concepts like pagan, kafir, apostasy, conversion, war to spread religion etc. For explanation, please check the discussion "Hinduism - A Simple Explanation."

You are right it seems simple but in fact it is rather difficult. All I can say about mine is "Fighter" as I am a Sikh

Nonexistent. My answer explains itself. I have no religion. (This is going to be my shortest reply ever made on this site. eek!)
